Nobody believes the shit he's saying, but he's not the brightest candle on the cake to begin with so he probably believes it. Either way, uncle Ronnie isn't even 60 and can't walk, has about 10lbs of metal in his back and is going on like 10+ back surgeries. The price wasn't worth it in the end no matter what he claims, not when they gotta prop you up like a marionette for photos.
I thought his back problems kept going because he couldn't stop training when he was recovering so yeah, not the brightest.

Fucking patellar tendonitis flared up in the middle of a cycle in Wales. Had to push through 20 miles of hills and steep-ass paths with it. Eventually my entire knee goes numb and i'm ok. But fuck that.

In other news, finally got a Garmin watch. Already can tell I'll be hooked on comparing my pulse in different states. My rest one went down to 42 as I did some meditation 🙈

Four times this week I did nine miles on the exercise bike and it wasn’t a big deal, but today it’s like the tiredness all hit me at once. I’m definitely taking the weekend off.

This bloody London heat killed me but still a pb at 1.37.
One of my running crew friends collapsed at 20k with blood coming out of his nose though and was put in a wheelchair. Really hope he's OK :/

Anybody got any advice for getting back into pullups? I used to be able to lift this dad-bod years ago and fell off. Would like to be able to do it again.
My gym has a combo dip/pullup scaffold that has an optional assist that you kneel on, which you can load weight to make things easier. Was thinking of using it and doing sets until failure and then adding a little more weight and repeating.

Man I ain't shit at this gym. Way better environment, half the price and way more machines but everyone there is so much more fit than me

it's just very inconsistent from session to session compared to bench which is just on an upward trajectory rn. i think I can hit that to 300 by the end of the summer like I wanted but squat gains have been much more difficult.

Program it’s an adjusted version of a power building program I found. 2 bench days, 2 squat days and 1 DL+squat or bench depending on the week. Plus whatever accessories I feel like hitting
Typically rest about 2 mins between sets for my working ones (up to 255, usually hit that 2x5 before singles), then singles maybe 3-4 mins (beyond 255)
My deadlift is weak rn I’m focusing on form and technique more than weight for now
