By Lego Go To PostI'm glad Martins is over the heartbreak now. Back to his rational self. Was a rough couple of days ngl.
Watched Amorim's interview with Gary Neville. I'm not really going to predict how it's going to go for him on the pitch, I think the current squad is going to need so much work to adapt to his system I think it's a bit pointless currently.
That said, he really is good to listen to. It'll be interesting to see how he interacts with the media when things aren't going so well, but he'll be an enormous upgrade on ETH straight away in terms of personality, which is really important for the Man U job. Even if he has a rough first season, which is likely, he'll be able to keep the fans well onside (LOL) for quite a while while he builds what he needs to build.
I think you lads can be (tentatively) excited.
I can't help but like him based off that interview, but unfortunately he has chosen Man U so i hope he crashes and burns.

After what 6 managers since SAF? Idgaf what they say in interviews or all the tactical analysis
Just show me something in the 90 mins on the field all that other stuff is just noise and content

All managers sound good in the first few weeks.
If I had a tenner for every Sunderland manager who the fans were upset about being appointed but then saw the same upset fans say "he comes across well in that interview"... I'd have a canny few tenners.

Evening, Hixx. Have you won the league yet?
By Dan Go To PostIs real football back yet?I'd rather it wasn't.

By Xpike Go To Posthad already written the season off but having to rely on Timber and Calafiori to be fit for essentially every single match left…I already have, we're too far behind at this point and don't have enough up top to challenge for the title. Just need to make sure we stay in the top four.
By Plasma Go To PostI already have, we're too far behind at this point and don't have enough up top to challenge for the title. Just need to make sure we stay in the top four. You should rest half your team midweek to make sure you stay in the top 4 in the Premier League.

Just need to make sure we stay in the top four.Arteta is a bum for not bringing in someone to rotate with Odegaard (if/when Smith Rowe was sent away), someone to rotate with Saka and someone to outright replace Jesus. For where Arsenal have reached, having Jesus and Zinchenko is a big big minus. They're two bums that should have been sent to West Brom and Stoke.

Not yet.
And we've got half our team out tomorrow because ff#34s bois are brexit thugs
At the time I think Jesus and Zinchenko were good buys bearing in mind we finished 5th the season before and our main aim was to get back in the top four, which both of them helped us do. The problem is we also challenged for the title that year a lot quicker than anyone could have predicted and when the expectation was to keep doing that suddently Jesus and Zinchenko weren't really at that level.

Amarante's players getting emotional when stepping into the pitch at Alvalade.
That's the magic of the cup, football players who play mostly for the love of game while working real jobs get to play for one night in the same pitch that most of the big teams in the world also play at.
And now Esgaio scores. A friend sent me a message on WhatsApp 5 minutes ago that we were playing like shit. We are winning 2-0 with 15 minutes played.
By n8 dogg Go To Postmel gibson is an anagram of bong smile
Avril Lavigne is an anagram of Vaginal Liver.
4-0 just before halftime, Edwards for an easy tap in after a great move between Esgaio and Bragança.
That was a fun half. This kind of game could get tricky but we are playing with intensity and Amarante can't handle it.
Hopefully we do some early subs to rest some players and give some minutes to the two kids.

Gyokeres free kick hits the post. Ridiculous how we only now discovered he is our best free kick taker.
And again, he has been unlucky.
And again, he has been unlucky.
By Lego Go To PostSounds like things are going well without AmorimMaybe managers don't matter🤔
By Batong Go To PostMaybe managers don't matter🤔All I know is we had a demonic bald succubus stealing all the positivity from my club and now we don't
By Lego Go To PostSounds like things are going well without AmorimIt was an easy match against a 4th tier team but it was already visible some of different dynamics that João Pereira has been using in the B team.
The match against Arsenal is going to be the real test but the vibes are good, the players are still there are and focused, they are all behind JP (some of them played with him 3 years ago).
The fact that Luis Neto, one of last season's captains and a player that is loved by all the squad, is now one of the assistant managers helps keep the unity with squad and that's a key aspect to continue this winning run.
By Batong Go To PostMaybe managers don't matter🤔Managers do matter and if the team keeps on winning is also thanks to Amorim.
Creating a sense of family in the squad makes all the difference and Amorim was very important into that aspect.
João Pereira has been playing with the same system as Amorim for 2 years, he has put his spin on the team plays but it helps that things aren't that different.
Joel started ahead of Garrincha in the opening two games of the 1958 World Cup. This is because 10 days before the world cup started, Brazil were playing a friendly against Fiorentina and Garrincha beat four defenders and the goalkeeper, before stopping on the goal line. Rather than kicking the ball into the open goal, he then dribbled past the returning Enzo Robotti to score. His coaches were upset at what they considered an irresponsible move and this likely led to Garrincha being dropped for the opening two games.
Frank Worthington was described as the "Working Man's George Best". In 1972, he undertook a medical at Liverpool ahead of a proposed transfer to the club. On hearing that Worthington had high blood pressure, manager Bill Shankly sent him to Majorca for a week for health reasons. After encounters with five separate women, including a former Miss Great Britain, during the break, he returned showing higher blood pressure and the transfer fell through. He once had four court appearances for driving in one year including one for doing a u-turn on the motorway in his red Ford Mustang. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley and while playing for Sunderland would often turn up at their training ground dressed as Presley.

Our two 17 year olds who played today (Quenda and João Simões) went to the ball boys after the game.
Such a great moment to show to those young kids that with hard work they can get there.
