My life is depressing enough as it is so I need United to do well some time soon
By scently Go To Post I see Mainoo as a mainstay on Amorim's teamlol the music
Well, this feels nice. There are also pictures of him shaking hands with black people so you know he's not racist.
Amorim just has aura in a way no other United manager has had. Mourinho had the last dregs of his original rizz but no one else. Full skibidi poggers imho

You have close to 20 players earning 100K+ Elizabeths a week. And then they come up with shit like this.

Not like you can immediately cut those wages.
Strong team today. No room for Wooden's boy Roony. Should note that it is the Italian Éder up front (who is Brazilian but has an Italian grandfather), not the Portuguese player.
Adolfo Pedernera was nicknamed "El Maestro" ("The Teacher") and he was widely considered to be one of the best world football players in the 1940s and one of the greatest Argentine players of all time. Pedernera was the natural conductor of both the famous River Plate team known as La Máquina ("The Machine"), with whom he won several Argentine and South American titles, and the Millonarios team called Ballet Azul ("Blue Ballet") that won the Small Club World Cup in 1953 among many others Colombian titles.
He played for Millonarios alongside Alfredo Di Stéfano. According to Di Stéfano, the team played with the "5 and dance" strategy, in which they would try to not humiliate their opponents by scoring when they were leading by five goals. This strategy was employed in nine consecutive victories.
Pedernera helped Argentina win the Copa América in 1941 and 1946, the latter tournament being named the Best Player. He also was elected the 12th-best South American footballer of the 20th century in a poll by the IFFHS in 2000, and his name appears in the list of the 100 greatest all time footballers selected from the magazine FourFourTwo in 2017, in which he holds the 58th place.
Hans-Günter Bruns played almost 400 times in the Bundesliga and 4 times for West Germany. He is famous for almost scoring one of the best goals of all time
Ron Yeats was part of the successful Liverpool side of the 1960s. In January 2024, it was announced that Yeats was living with Alzheimer's disease. He died from complications of the disease on 6 September 2024, at the age of 86.

That looks a very strong team.
@FortuneFaded what is the criteria for your top 16? Most star players or balance?

I forgot to look up about Uwe Rosler
Dude only played with City for 4 years.
Rösler was interviewed by the Stasi secret police organisation, who attempted to force him to inform on colleagues seeking to defect to the West in exchange for the Stasi allowing him to continue his fledgling football career unimpeded – only the furious intervention of his manager saved him from their attentions.
Rösler has a Norwegian wife, with whom he has had two sons. His younger son is named Colin after Colin Bell, and is a professional footballer for Mjällby, while his eldest son is named Tony after Tony Book– both Bell and Book are former Manchester City players and are considered club legends.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostThat looks a very strong team.Mixture of the two. I'm trying to think of who would come out on top if both teams were in the same league. Sometimes a superstar could drag an ordinary team past a team with a better overrall but less game winners.

For instance, with this team, I'm not inspired by the front two and the gk is a definite weakness. There's a team on May 8 that has world class defence back 5 but the rest of the team disqualifies them for me.
A top heavy team I think will beat a bottom heavy team, and stats agree: https://www.premierleague.com/news/3960816
Here's my current top 16 if you are curious (spoilers obviously): https://jmp.sh/s/G1wjLnquKG1pra2MzJxp
