Minnesota should be EMBARRASSED over their last three games. Especially Anthony Edwards. Their effort was that of someone that thought last season's success would come easy again this year.
By DiPro Go To PostWemby had 50?!I hear Bol Bol could do that too if he got to take 26 shots.
BTW, crazy SGA just set his career high at 45 the other day.
Assumed he had a couple of 50 game already.

Glad someone said it.
Kinda embarrassing seeing him and James Jr. on the same team.

Potentially new.

Nah bro we know 🤣
Also the Wemby defensive impact is nuts, 108.3.drtg on court, 118.7 drtg off.

Shooting better too.
Still wish he would get in the lane on offense more.

Getting back to this, dunno what even makes sense for him. They don't need centers- they do need a (strong preference for big and athletic) guy that can organize the offense and put their head down and get a bucket when things go stagnant. I mean, who's available that actually fits that mold? And don't say Ben Simmons.
Like, maybe Giannis asks out- but the cost is probably too damn high and I doubt he'd want to be in Portland after spending the start of his career in the other basketball Siberia. (tm)
He's a fine tank commander for now, and I appreciate that he's at least trying to shoot less middies and get up some 3s/play around the basket this year.

It's harder to body him this year, guys aren't just going through his chest as much as last season. It's gonna get even worse for everyone when he gains about 15 more lbs.
Also I know @reilo sees Donovan on there and did the Birdman
Yea, through 13 games Donovan has 27 blocks in 15.8 mpg (!).
Through his first 13 games last season, Wemby had 33 blocks in 30.1 mpg.
Also, funnily enough, both had 8 blocks on their 13th game.
Donovan's block percentage: 13.3%
Wemby's block percentage: 11.2%
I can't express how both are all-time insane numbers.

By Kibner Go To PostPortland, Nola, and Memphis are all super happy with their rookie bigs, tbh.
Thinking they need to relitigate this draft. 3-4 good bigs, Castle, Knecht. Sheppard probably too if he could get some damn minutes. Even the Suns got Ryan Dunn balling.

Crazy blocks per minute, I get why yall don't play him too much, he'll hurt the tank for Cooper 🤣

Philly loves McCain too.

Even the Suns got Ryan Dunn balling.Eh, I think the original draft evaluation is still accurate: no superstars, lots of roleplayers, maybe a couple could break through to stardom.
With that said, I just ordered my voodoo Missi jersey so he is obviously going to become the next Giannis.

I mean, that’s every draft though when you cut through the BS hype. Let’s be honest here- guys like Wemby don’t come along that often.
Take Chet, Smith and Banchero for example. What makes that draft better than this one except wingz?
By Christberg Go To PostI mean, that’s every draft though when you cut through the BS hype. Let’s be honest here- guys like Wemby don’t come along that often.Chet and Banchero are leagues ahead of any player in this draft and were at this time during their rookie season, too. (well, except Chet got injured, but whatever). They were absolutely pegged to have superstar potential in the draft.

To me, "potential" is just another word for "hype" and I don't care until you walk the walk. Chet's injured again as you'd expect if he turned out to be a bust, and Banchero/Smith have shot issues that cap their ceilings at Aaron Gordon until they figure that out.
