What's everyone doing for primary weapons?
I tried the AR, the SMG that came with the game and the first shotgun. The AR has been the best so far, SMG went through a 55 round mag in like 2 seconds and the shotgun has been decent. Just unlocked the Marksman rifle.

Technically it is possible to solo - someone said they almost did a mission on hard solo - but you have to be super stealthy and call in airtrikes on everything.

Support weapons are definitely king. I need to save up some more requisitions to unlock more as I only have the MG.
Tell you tho what the machine pistol sidearm you unlock is really quite handy.

Wonder why they opted against an open beta., not sure there was even a closed one with any reasonable number of players. Seems like it launched with a lot of problems that it really shouldn't have.
Feel like it can be a bit of a lottery whether the audience sticks with a game through a rough first couple of days and waits for the patches. Guess the solo and matchmaking is just about functional enough to give them a decent amount of leeway.

According to a dev, problems started to pop out when player counts hit 100k. So my guess is they didnt expect that the game would be as popular as it is.
Definitely something an open beta might be able to help.

The environment's impact and the amount of tools you have available to use remind me more of Monster Hunter. Esp when you're fighting the massive bugs.

Finally moved into doing medium difficulty missions and that already feels like a decent jump in intensity. I kept getting snuck up on by the biggest fucking bugs due to the low visibility hazard. Not optimal.
They said it'll be a few days until they're rolled out their new MM system (they really did not plan on the game being this big so soon). Atm it's only got about 80% success rate.

New planets also have been unlocked! Heeth is conquered.
I'm guessing you get credit for the weekly as long as you contributed to the planet liberation. I work on weekends so I can't play til Tuesday
Just did a 2-man nuke launch mission on medium at night on Angel's Venture. Stunning computer game.

Feel like this should force you to do a solo trivial mission before letting you loose. Spent the first hour of the game having no clue what I was doing as I was just following other players around and they were completing objectives before I knew it. Did a solo mission at my own pace and have a much better sense of the flow and the mechanics. Just did a couple of Medium missions with a random, he basically carried me as I was fumbling with empty magazines, incorrect stratagem inputs and running into his line of fire.
First order of business for me is to learn the Reinforcement code without having to look at it, need to be able to do it while running away from a swarm. Plus I need to get to a point where I'm diving away from projectile attacks as a reflex, got one-shot about three times by the big fuckers spitting their shite at me. Quite happy to see that some ship upgrades seem to be locked behind higher difficulty reward currency, need an incentive to play above my comfort zone. Surprised by how many medals you get from opening blast doors.
Is there a way to tone down the volumetric stuff on PS5? Can barely see anything sometimes to the point that I assume it's not supposed to be quite so obscuring. Hopefully the matchmaking and crossplay issues are sorted by Tuesday, would like to put some proper time in when I'm next off work.

I'm having a weird problem diving sideways. If I try to move sideways then dive what happens is I do this semi sideways dive but my dude is facing forwards.
Hmmm, haven't had that happen to me yet. It seems HD1 had a host migration system. Maybe with all the issues they've had sometimes host migration fails.
Maybe I just got kicked for being lower level than everyone else, happened too early for me to even accidentally kill anyone
