By unknown Go To Postwhy should he be a star?Got a good look, has the Family legacy, some good power moves and He's not bad in the stick either.
He should have all the tools to break through.
Ospreay is THE GUY for the face of your company, by god.
Ospreay, Takeshita as his eternal rival, MJF as the top heel, Garcia as the plucky underdog and Swerve being a perfect tweener are your new main eventers coming up.

Better than the circa-PS2 3D graphics they have for some of the wrestlers. That shit is lame as hell. Roman's looks downright bad.

Speaking of wrestler intros...YouTube algo stays showing me some amazing Attitude-era/very early Ruthless Aggression-era content, and it made remember that it did not take 5 minutes for a wrestler to make his way to the ring. Some of these are just way too fucking long today. You can tell they milk these intros just to kill time.
Raw is War and SmackDown had more matches in the late 90s/early 2000s than today.

WWE entrances are like 15% of the Total runtime of smackdown / Raw.
It's what the crowd wants though, they Don't want to see wrassling.

I'm in Bo$$ton wearing shorts and a T-shirt. I'm literally the only one wearing shorts. I wonder if that easily identifies myself as a non-Boston native.
Think Mercedes' current theme is pretty shit though.
You could easily rework TI - 24s with CEO and it would be banger.

that boy ain’t right
He's trying to be THAT guy for Tony.
Too bad Tony doesn't give a shit about him.
Tsuji is the closest thing to 'the guy' coming up in NJPW right now. Gotta get him before Hunter and Tony decide they want him
Paul is barely keeping one solid Japanese character alive in the roster. He'll bury a 2nd one as a jobber.
He does flutter from one to the other.
Shinsuke has had his time in the sun so now he's on to .... Iyo? Nah, her reign has been shit. Asuka? Eh, midcard at best. Kairi? She's getting paid but she's not doing much.

The Punk/Drew/Rollins promo battle was an all timer.
The rehab line and the "chosen by who" bits? Spectacular.

By domino Go To Postoh man The Rock just beat the daylights out of Cody backstage this takes me back to 1999
And called the crowd "pieces of shit" without any censorship, and multiple "son of a bitch", a "bitch ass", etc. All praise Akuma Rock saving the WWE.
By data Go To Postyall i think im back on watching weekly wrestling
AEW AND WWE
Having the Attitude-era guys running the show has taken WWE back to its roots. But they will be unfortunately stuck with a lot of dead weight and issues for an eternity. I think the worst are the lengthy intros, not enough matches, and the vestiges of the ghost of McMahon...because some of these gimmicks are pretty dreadful.
Speaking of 'pretty'...Pretty Deadly is awful and needs to be rebranded immediately. They have fallen into nearly jobber status and even when they win (like last week), they get 0 pop. Looks like they want to turn them into Paul's posse, which makes sense considering how vain they are. But the costumes and intro music? Yikes.
Punk is talking about AEW. Mostly about Tony Khan being bad at his job.
I don't think what he's saying is too controversial tbh.

Mami needs to stay on top. Jade will be the future after that, but that's probably another year or two away. As it stands now, Rhea is far and away the most badass women's champ since Chyna, but with great mic work.
Charlotte, Jade or Bianca are probably the only believable threats to Rhea.
But Jade needs plenty of reps first to be able to match her in the ring, Bianca could be a great matchup, Charlotte would be another retread but would still be a banger match.

Jay White losing to Billy Gunn is certainly a choice.
And so is sending Edge out to give a rah rah speech bigging up AEW in response to Punk's interview. He's still ultimately a guy that's synonymous with WWE and only been with AEW for like 6 months. Makes the entire company come across as insecure.

Blur that kayfabe.
Dynamite was good but yeah, making Edge do the AEW speech is a bit eh, Eddie would've been way better for it.
Jay losing VS Billy Gunn is a choice but Jay is so good he'll bounce back from it like it was nothing.
Soon we shall all be breathing with the Switchblade.

But from listening to a few interviews it seems like Kingston regrets everything that went down with Punk and the Elite. Probably wants to just forget about it.

The bigger issue was Khan feeling the need to address the fans. Just makes the entire company seem second rate.

AEW is the BIG3 of the wrestling world.
Interesting...Jey and Jimmy have changed their hair. Jimmy dropped all of his hair down to a pony tail. Jey grew the shaved parts of his beard out to match Jimmy's facial hair. And both of their goatees look identical now.
If they try and pull a switch-a-roo during WM40, I wouldn't be shocked at all.
