Cody boring maybe but the majority of the crowd is behind him.
Top merch sneller, one of your biggedt draws, the only top babyface in the main event.
Nah, let's screw him for Dwayne lol.
You could easily put Rhea in the main event for night one but WWE showed that no one that's left is main event worthy.

I don't know how the hell anyone still thinks Rock was plan B because Punk was injured
like what. It was always gonna be this if Rock could do it.

Rock getting a seat on the Board, then installing Brian Gerwitz, the guy who wrote his promos 20 years ago, as his proxy in the creative team. Then having Gerwitz and himself pushing for the title match at Mania. That's a level of politicking even Hogan couldn't achieve.
And it appears to be massively unpopular within the WWE and the online fanbase. Endeavour won't care as Roman/Rock generates huge buzz. But the former is a 51 year old that will wrestle at best twice a year. Completely derails their biggest challenger in Rhodes for the second year running.

i have to think they end up pivoting back to Cody/Roman by the time Mania actually comes along
it's time to turn the page on the Bloodline story and bring in a new era
this is a bad look for The Rock and he's my favorite wrestler ever

His TKO stock options have to be in-fucking-sane to be wasting his time on this dumb shit again at 51 years old.
He's cashing in on the Vince news too believe that.
They knew this shit was coming and had him lined up to keep business on the tracks and Wall Street focused.
Ari Emanuel is going to make all this go away for the company but he needs to get everyone paid in this first quarter of their fiscal year.

WrestleMania is going to do numbers either way. Rock / roman will do numbers either way. So why do it now ? You could make a b ppv an a ppv with that match and not sacrifice the one guy you've built the last 2 years, the only guy , on Romans level
By Lupercal Go To PostLets waste the longest reigns in decades on Rock lol.the rock isnt going to beat roman for the title. its just a mega match which WM is about.
I dont see him dropping the title beforehand and Rock beating him without it on the line devalues the title and Reigns as an opponent.
I have no problem with Rock ending Roman Reigns' run IF it even happens. I've always been under the assumption he will have one last fight for the head of the table position, as opposed to the belt. But this back and forth over which belt is the real #1 belt tells me that they're going to eliminate or retire one of the belts. And if they do, they want to retire it with The Rock, which makes sense.
Cody will have to finish his story versus Seth after he returns, most likely.

So they'll have one main belt for WWE ?
Or they'll just make another one for the other brand again?
That's the problem they have with their unifying of belts. They've done it before and after a few months, they just introduce another belt again.
They already have midcard belts so can't introduce one of those.

By Cleff Go To PostThe Rock can't cut a promo anymore. Cody ran rings around him.stop lol, boring cody aint it bro.
"We want Cody!"
"NO WE DON'T!"
Hahahahahahaha.
They definitely pivoted and I'm all here for it. Corporate Rock aka Chairman Rock aka Hollywood Rock 2.0 has arrived.

There was a lot of cursing during and after the promo, backstage too. Rock's been cursing on TV too. I wonder if they're going to try and add more edge back to the show. The whole thing is a work, but still this has been convincing:
By Lupercal Go To PostAll this overbooking to do roman v cody again.nothing seems clear yet. guess we will see on raw or eventually.
So the Rock is doing what?
By unknown Go To Postnothing seems clear yet. guess we will see on raw or eventually. He'll be on SmackDown next week. The Alvarez idea of a tag match on night 1 and then Cody vs Roman on night 2 seems convincing enough, as Rocky gets winded in a segment with Jinder and a tag match protects him. Except I don't think Roman wrestling two nights works for him, brother.
Rocky will be wrestling in some capacity, though, since he gets a $30m bonus for getting in the ring this year.
If Roman wrestles in both nights, the championship match will have to be night 1, that way in the event of an injury or something he can be substituted or an audible can be pulled off. I still personally think Rock wants the ula fala necklace in order to be the real head of the table and be the chief.
Heel Rock is the best Rock. The contrast of Roman's inability to cut a promo as heel, and a few minutes later, The Rock absolutely destroying every paying customer in that arena...the contrast is absolutely enormous.

By Lupercal Go To PostEC was a pretty filler ppv on the way to Mania.crowd was kinda of weak for rhea, thought they would go hard for her. the womans chamber was dope, main with rhea was solid, nia did well in performance.
Rhea got dat hometown pop, so good.
All the waiting between matches probably didn't help the crowd but I found them to be pretty good.
Women's Chamber was good, Men's was ok, tag match was meh. Rhea had a good one with Nia.

EC sucked. LA Knight needs that belt more than Drew does. Logan Paul can fuck right off.
But no matter what the WWE tries to do...Rhea will never be seen as a heel. She's fucking incredible, and that's coming from someone who basically skips every women's match to the final 2 mins, except hers. She's different. She deserves to hold on to that belt for a long, long time.

By Lupercal Go To PostEC was a pretty filler ppv on the way to Mania. It was predictable, but I don't think it was bad by any means and it set up a lot of interesting WM programs. Orton is going to hit a truly incredible RKO on Logan Paul at Mania and I can't wait.

I just generally like that Triple H books a consistent show that makes sense and he does a good job of balancing the feel good moments with the heel wins. Like, Drew is obviously going over Seth at Mania so he can carry the belt until Punk is cleared in the summer and that's okay. I am here for hater of the year Drew.

You buggin. Rhea is what WWE needed from Roman and never got. She's beyond over in the women's division and achieved it in an extremely short timeframe without any awkward or forced pushes.
By unknown Go To Posthow you sure drew wins? It's the logical conclusion to how H has built up Drew over the last couple of months. His character has changed, he attacked CM Punk, he beat Cody, he won the chamber. It won't be a clean win, but he'll beat Seth and carry the main event scene on Raw til Punk returns.
The Cody win telegraphed it more than anything. Dude has lost only two matches since his return, WM39 to Roman and last week on Raw to Drew. They're obviously positioning Drew as the guy on Raw.
Women's chamber and the tag match were my favourite parts. The other two matches didn't do it for me.

I dont see this playing out AT ALL. If anything, the match everyone wants to see is CM Punk vs Seth FOR the title. A match between those two WITHOUT the belt is a hollow match that has no purpose at all. Drew loses the match without a doubt, because Paul needs to have a Punk/Rollins title card for the next major PPV event.
And IF Drew wins, he drops the belt quick back to Rollins.
Drew wins for his "Mania Moment"™ and drops it when Rollins is fully healthy again a month or 2 later.
Perfect 50/50 booking.
Perfect 50/50 booking.
Calling it now: Bloodline win the tag match at WM40. Cody/Reigns match becomes a massive handicap match for Cody who will have the rules and odds stacked against him, but he will win it all, perhaps with some kind of enormous betrayal (from The Rock). No way does The Rock acknowledge Roman.
What'd be great is if the guest referee is Jay, but disguised as Jimmy.
Also, wtf are they doing with Bron Breaker? It's Goldberg all over again. Stop.

Bron Breaker (horrible name) should be Massive Star but he's been in NXT for 5 years now?
He's missing something but I still think there's a shot.
But yeah, they'll Goldberg the shit outta him.
