Then, there’s writer-director Christopher McQuarrie’s eagerly anticipated Mission: Impossible 8, which is finally wrapped and in post-production. The project has had a long and difficult journey, with a budget that’s reportedly approaching $400 million amid production delays — partly due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes.
But then these corporations want to increase the prices of their streaming services saying they aren’t profitable.
Outrage (2010)
Pretty good but grandpa takeshi kitano booking himself as a badass is always like Steven seagal levels of cringe
Are the sequels any good? I may just watch the internal affairs sequels instead

By Rob Go To PostBut then these corporations want to increase the prices of their streaming services saying they aren’t profitable. They shot scenes on a fucking real life submarine. Paramount just shuts up and pays because Tom Cruise is their main "IP" now, they are talking about doing a sequel for Days Of Thunder.
Deathly Hallows Pt2 is in its latter stages on TV
It's one of the ugliest films I've ever seen. Have these cunts never heard of colour? It seems shite in every other regard too.

The Prestige, lads
Never really noticed that Borden and Angiers are pretty much irredeemable the first time I watched it, got the impression that Borden was the good guy somehow

Woman Of The Hour was a solid directorial debut for Anna Kendrick.
It takes quite a few liberties with the story but the Kendrick really wanted to show the misogyny of not only Rodney Alcala but of all the men whose decisions allowed him to spread terror for decades.
It was clearly a passion project for Kendrick, who has revealed recently that she had been on a 7 year emotional abusive relationship, and she gave the money she received for the movie to charities directed to abused women.

gladiator still holds up after all these years. could've been a good fifteen minutes shorter, though.

Now I am a known hater of musicals, so it may not be surprising to hear that I thought Joker 2 was disgustingly poor, but the real surprise was that I didn't even think the musical parts were the worst thing about it.
Who signed this shit off? What was even the fucking point of this thing? Why was all of the writing and line delivery so poor? Some of this shit just felt like first-take stuff.
Only thing going for it is it is quite a pretty movie.

Quentin Tarantino says it’s a masterpiece and Kojima already told you 10 20 years from now you will change your opinion, dummie
By Hitch Go To PostThe Prestige, ladsBorden lives for the Craft and as such, the twins have a troubled personal life. Angiers is doing it for the money and fame. I always thought he was the bad guy.

By Hitch Go To PostI think putting his craft on a pedestal above his family makes him a complete cunt tbhWell, I never said he was the good guy, but Angiers is clearly the least redeemable in my eyes.
well, them
I had to turn on enhanced dialogue on Amazon video btw, couldn't hear a thing besides background sound and music before it.
Don't remember that being an issue on The Prestige like it is a lot of Nolan's other films, maybe an issue with the TV

I watch Red Rooms last night and it was quite a bit better than I was expecting. Actually well shot and scored and tightly written with actually decent acting performances throughout. Those screams, jesus.

ridiculous downgrade.
Really enjoyed Caddo Lake. It's not doing anything particularly new with the ... actually, even mentioning the specific sub-genre would be a significant spoiler. Solid sci-fi / mystery flick, I recommend going in completely blind.
watched the apprentice. was quite good really. good to see kendall finally get fucked in the ass, not just figuratively but also literally#maga
look back was good, but didn't hit me as hard as i'd hoped it would.

Just watched A Different Man. Good film. +1 for Sebastian Stan's penis.
Will be interesting to see if this leads to more roles for Adam Pearson.

I got the distinct impression that among other things he really disliked the amount he had to diet and physically train each time. Just found that shit exhausting at his age.

Also, fantastic novel if anyone is keen on reading it. One of the foundational magical realism works.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostHe's actually very happy with how he got to end it. He's just doesn't want Bond to be his legacy. Fair enough.
Mickey 17 delayed to April. It's taking over the IMAX screens from the Michael Jackson biopic that was delayed to later in 2025.

went to see The Wild Robot because it got a lot of praise as the best Dreamworks movie ever and that might be true but it's also not very good and pretty dumb.
i did like the first 20 minutes quite a bit.
as mid as the recent Pixar output like Inside Out 2 is, it's still leagues above this.
