I feel like getting into the Clippers business would be good for a lot of guys' pockets. Balmer seems loyal to a fault, would be a nice change of scenery for Max Jimmy if PG actually leaves

He honestly seems like an awesome owner, I'm just sad that Kawhi cannot stay healthy because if he could have we'd be looking at that team very differently.

A Laker fan friend of mine has I think a good opinion on the Redick -> Laker potential hiring situation:
My big problem with JJ is that even if you think he has a good basketball mind, it's still someone coming in almost completely raw and a thing we have seen nearly every first time coach struggle with is understanding how to navigate the way they think the game should be played in their head when it hits the reality of the roster they have or when things are happening that the numbers say shouldn't. The Lakers don't have the talent to deal with this learning curve. Even if it only costs them a couple games that might be too many.
There's very little doubt in my mind that this is going to happen because JJ has been very public about the things he thinks the Lakers should do. But the thing is the last three Lakers coaches have been analytics-forward coaches and all of them have already tried the things that he is itching to try. You can't run the type of offense that is popular to run now when you have 2 to 3 (depending on if they bring Russell back) volume three point shooters and even if you could LeBron is going to nix this because he prefers to know where his shooters are than to have them in motion, and a LeBron James play is still effective enough that the numbers are going to say at least while he's on the floor that he's right. The Lakers defense also can't be completely modern because they have several guys who can't guard switches or make complex rotations (either because they're bad at it or their bodies won't let them due to age). I'm not confident in the guy who thinks Anthony Davis helps on the perimeter too much and should just play drop or guard the other guy's big being the one to solve this puzzle.
If the Lakers have to go first timer, I have more confidence in the Heat, Denver or Timberwolves assistants they're interviewing because those guys at least come from teams that run things that look more like what the Lakers can actually run.
E: Woj seems to be really pushing against the idea of JJ as the lead candidate now despite being the first one to report it. But everyone else is going full steam on it being nearly a done deal.

Nephew is a top 3 long jumper in Manhattan for his grade. We're gonna translate that to basketball soon, just waiting on that growth spurt for the height, if he gets to my father's height he's gonna be D1 easily. He's just about 5'10" without shoes in 7th grade.

Kinda feels like tonight’s game will be like last years Celtics Heat game 5
Timberpups will jump out to a 10+ lead and maintain it all game
If Lively plays and gets more hurt then yikes

Nah, they caught fire at the right time
Everyone was hitting sh!t and foul merchant Jimmy was getting to the line
Add in illegal Bam screens to free up shooters and they ran the same #1 team back, they weren’t nobodies

Something funny I noticed while updating my fraud chart (will share the result when the Mavs move on): The Celtics (43.4) and Mavs (39.5) are the top two teams in 3PA/100 this season, and #1 and #4 for the playoffs (the Sixers and Heat are #2 and #3). One of those teams is full of elite shooters who can play five out while dominating defensively, and is statistically one of the greatest teams of all time. The other has a heliocentric big point guard who loves to take stepbacks, a secondary playmaking HOF guard, and a promising young rim running big man to make the offense work. Will the 2018 Rockets beat the Warriors this time? Let's find out!

Think Luka is much better than Harden ever was because of the simple fact he'll turn a failed drive into a post up in the lane. Both he and Brunson will do that, you stop the drive and the threat is still there which was never the case for Harden. You stopped his drives and he only had the step back three to lean on. That's also why Luka has never had the type of playoff failures where his game just collapses. The Celtics need Kristaps against the Mavs

No faith in the Wolves at this point. But we'll see.

Not surprised that Josh Hart is suddenly a huge fan of the single season RAPM ranks considering where he placed.

By Sharp Go To PostThe Wolves can theoretically come back from this but I kind of don't believe in them at this point. They don’t believe in themselves. They’re content with just not getting swept and watching Luka go for 60 in 3 quarters
