When I visit I stay in Little Tokyo or Koreatown. Exclusively take the metro or Lyft. My car doesn’t move until I checkout to leave

Little Tokyo is nice just because it's a walkable area with good food. I like to go to Marugame Monzo Udon.

You should also check out Sabores Oaxaquenos for Oaxacan style Mexican food. There is a good article on the place here

As for other areas, a friend of mine recommended me a bar called Gold Room on sunset boulevard. He said he loved it when he lived there ten years.
