By Feorax Go To PostIt’s incredibly hard to watch teams like Villa leave everything on the pitch last night against us, and then see first Newcastle and now Wolves basically rolling out the red carpet for City.Ok, Jurgen.

If you wanted to win the title you should have beat them in the league this season m8
I would be surprised if Frenkie leaves Barca and going to Manchester and no wearing a light blue shirt
unless 10H can do some magic

Couldn't see his legs but it didn't seem like Laporte was walking with a limp at the end of the game which is a huge relief. Hopefully he can play vs West Ham.
By Meier Go To PostMain difference here is he has proven himself at another big team. Maybe hasn't quite lived up to the expectations, but still been a very strong player. I think he'll be a great signing. He’s a decent player but not really sure what makes him a great signing for United. Flopping at Barca surely counts against him, no? I can see him as a depth signing or someone to bring competition to that position but as the key piece in that midfield is risky, IMO.

Agreed. Impossible to win this league once city are ahead

Flopping is strong. Seems to me he’s been one of their more consistent players.

It’s insane that’s what it’s come down to pretty much.

FF can weigh in for us, but my impression is that he's been one of their best players in general but given his price and the fact they haven't done great, his time there has been a bit underwhelming. He has experience playing for Ten Hag which I think is important for both parties.

They bought him for 73m and supposedly are selling him for around 60m… Xavi wants him out and they’re willing to take a loss on him. Maybe “flop” is too strong a word but that doesn’t really inspire confidence.
Results against Chelsea have made all the difference
Does my head in when we drop stupid points like we did against them at Anfield and people say it doesn't matter because it's early in the season. With City consistently getting 90+ points, every result like that is a shitter.

He's probably just had enough of it and wants out, or to keep learning from ETH or he doesn't like Xavi.
Problem for Frenkie at Barca is that busquits is still not stopping, thats were he would be best suited for Barca and why they bought him in the 1st place and he hardly played a single match in that pos.
Add the financial probs and the likes of Gavi who could play there as well in few years, can see the shutupandtakethemoney move from Laporta.

Congrats Ajax lads!!
We're mathematically safe after Leeds' defeat, this was the table after 14 (!!!!!!!) games. It's insane.

I think the biggest reason to be concerned about De Jong is the fact that he has agreed to join United.
Bad omen imo

By Willkiller Go To PostCongrats Ajax lads!!I feel like I am having an aneurysm trying to read this table, lol. A miraculous turnaround though, grats Will.

Reminds me of the Brass Eye bit on Peter Sutcliffe: “Well maybe all these years later people will realise he was just taking the piss”
By Fergie Go To PostFrenkie only coming for that sweet bald head.
It’s another Robinho situation.

Yeah annoying they cut it off, it's been split into home and away games though.
But yeah, it really is. People will point to the money spent in January and no doubt that has been crucial, but by all accounts Howe acted as a defacto DOF in January and got all the signings absoutely spot on after a lot of questions around his dodgy buys with Bournemouth in the PL.
Next season all I want is to never worry about relegation, that would be a lovely start
Frenkie has been a consistent performer, a good one at that. Barcelona are a shambles in terms of squad depth and injury records. He has not had consistent partners in midfield and has had to play multiple roles match to match.
When played further up the pitch he has actually been very good but that has been rare because he has been asked to cover for Busquets low speed or cover another more central position due to the unavailability of Pedri/Gavi.
Busquets has been the number one DM so Frenkies ideal role is always occupied.
E10Hague knows him well, so I am sure he would shine even brighter if United strengthen their midfield even further.

Surely that points to financial mismanagement at Barca more than anything else.

To give their fans respite
Linius Alfred Schreuder the 10H replacement according to Telegraaf, thoughts?
He was ok as assistent, not sure if he can make the step up, but also see no logical other name to throw in the hat.

By Lego Go To PostI can’t believe we’d sign a player that perfectly fitting for the team. So it’s obviously not true.Won't get my hopes up until the Manchester based journalists say we're actually going for it. But it's definitely been reported before that Barca would sell if a good offer came in.
