I don't really think there is anything about a controlling football style that precludes a manager from the Liverpool job though. As long as they do it good enough. In fact I'd argue that the manager who most embodies control on the football pitch is Guardiola, and he obviously does it good enough

Hopefully nothing worse than a concussion
Ambulance on the pitch taking him away
By MF Coom Go To PostThe commentator mentioned that it was a bad concussion - so it shouldn't be too bad.
"ESL is so dumb. What a shitshow. I mean, Spurs in the ESL? lool"
"Glad the CL exists."
"What the hell are UEFA doing to the CL?!"
"Might as well have the ESL, at this rate."

By Scum Go To PostBring me CL QF in one of Qatar's new WC stadiums, Xpike. #GamesAt4amWe joke but this is definitely happening, just give it 5ish years.
Without the away goals they have the excuse to say home/away advantage isn't huge anymore and that playing CL games in neutral venues in New York is perfectly fine.
They'll say it's because kids are losing interest in football and they want everyone in the world to have the opportunity to enjoy top level football.
By Lego Go To PostSure there’s nothing in the rumours but is Inácio any good @LFMartins?He is but he isn't ready yet. Still only 20 years old, went from playing 25 games last season to 45 this season and it's taking it's toll, hasn't been as sharp in the last few games.
Good in the air, really good at playing from the back, capable of doing some long passes with accuracy and even scored a banger from outside the box this season.
Has played in all three center back positions but he is stronger on the left side.
It would have to be a big offer for us to let him go as Rúben really likes him.
By 24/25, Newcastle will be a PL superpower and Spurs and Arsenal can go back to duking it out for a spot in the CL
Scenes when teams that aren't challenging for their league titles completely pile in after getting through that stupid new table format

That CL format can't be real.
The worst thing about that new CL infographic is how impossible it is to see what that photo is. Had to squint to see it was Chelsea. You dedicate all that space to a graphic and make it so hard to see. Why?!
Súper liga answer just sucks. Florentino was ahead of his time.

Two ways of reading this story. Either Lingard has vastly overestimated his own worth and not as many clubs are as interested as he thought. Or he rejected Newcastle and they're putting positive spin on it. Seeing as Edwards wrote that awful sports washing piece a few weeks ago it could be the latter.

I think it's quite simple, we wants a financial package we don't think he's worth.
Tbh I didn't think we would go properly in for him in the summer anyway, seemed very much like a January or nothing type deal. We can get a better, younger player that doesn't have the huge character question marks.
So like, Vardy absolutely was selling stories to the papers. A defence to defamation is truth, so if Rooney can show that, she's in the clear.

It’s classic Lingard
