By FootbalIFan Go To PostIf it's a league game and it's 5-0 and 88th minute you can avoid traffic/crowds easier - if you have somewhere to be after..I guess
But any other situation it makes no sense.
Sure if it's a ridiculous scoreline. So many people leave regardless of result to 'beat the traffic', just watch it on TV at home then you melt.
I mean when there's a big concert on in town the traffic is a nightmare but I don't think many people would miss the last couple of songs to get home 30 mins earlier.

By Batong Go To PostDepends, if it's Coldplay I'll definitely leave early.
I got roped into seeing them live once by an ex, I hated them then as much as I do now. It was miserable. Truly fucking miserable.
Arteta has just been given a new contract until 2024-5.
Imagine if we crash out of the top 4 now :lol

Not a fan of giving him a new contract before the season is over, I honestly think if he doesn't make top 4 we should be looking to bring someone else in.
Arteta getting a new contract shouldn’t be dependent on top four.
You either like what he is doing or not. He isn’t here for short term gains.
Getting fourth doesn’t make what he is doing good all of a sudden, and not getting it doesn’t make him bad all of a sudden.
Did United only keep Ole because he got them 2nd? He might have got them second, but it was clear he wasn't’ the right person for the job.
If we get rid of him, then do it because of the ‘process’ not the league position.

The new owners of Chelsea Football Club would be prevented from paying dividends or taking management fees for a decade under a package of measures designed to avoid the controversies which have dogged Manchester United since the Glazers' takeover in 2005.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostArteta getting a new contract shouldn’t be dependent on top four.I don’t think it should be solely dependant on that, but getting fourth is a measurable marker of progress/success and is something that absolutely something that should be taken into account.

United got rid of Ole because he was (clearly) out of his depth and in free fall in the league. If Arteta reverts to 8th next season then I think Arsenal would pull the trigger, contract or not.
Anti-Glazers clause you know.
Imagine how shit you have to be as owners to be the standard precedent.

Did you think we would be battling for fourth at the start of the season?
I was hoping for it, but was expecting top 6.
For me it is all about on the pitch. I think he has taken massive step forwards identifying the players he wants and playing a good style of football when they are all fit. I think our first choice 11 plays great football and can compete against the best, as seen against City.
I 100% agree that if we take a backwards step next year then he should go. He has got rid of the players he doesn’t want and this summer will be about adding depth.
We've secured Europa so technically the season objectives have been met
I feel he's also done wonders regarding club culture, getting rid of the toxic players and deadwood, and all our last signings have been just right and fit into the team perfectly
I don't think anyone expected us to be in a prime position for getting back in the CL this season, with such a young squad and most of the team playing together for the first time, so yeah this season specially Arteta deserves a lot of credit
Still need to win the next 2 matches tho

On that front I think (if he pulls it off) we will have done really well.
I do think we have greatly benefited from United imploding and Spurs changing manager mid season, which we (probably) won’t have next season. That’s my worry.
You’re completely right about the on the pitch performances. When it goes well, it’s wonderful. I hope to get a top class forward this summer and we can really push on. In that sense, he’s been hamstrung.
Tomorrow the Portuguese title will most likely be won by Porto as they only need a draw against Benfica.
As the game will be at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica TV has the broadcasting rights and apparently has already set things up so the broadcast is returned to the studio immediately after the final whistle if Porto wins the league, post match interviews will be done quickly and no footage of the pitch and Porto celebrating will shown.
This is what happened immediately after the final whistle the last time Porto won the league at the Luz.

City will win 3 UCL in that time.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostWhat’s the latest on Pepe? Is he leaving Arsenal?probably, ESR, Saka and Martinelli are all ahead of him on the winger order and Jesus can probably play there too if needed
By Dan Go To PostWe will reply in 7 years.Whether we win or lose, I'm happy we've had Pep as long as we have. I enjoy watching his football and consider myself lucky to get to see it so often. I don't know if we'll win a CL in that period or under Pep, but that's okay. I don't concern myself too much with success as most of my teams don't attain it very often.
