If you’re local to Manchester then sure maybe I get it. Not got any respect for a club that gets bought out the way City did and are funded the way they are.
By Feorax Go To PostWhat could have been…Everton would have ruined him.
By Feorax Go To PostWhat could have been…Tottenham were close to also buying Diaz a few days before Liverpool but they weren't completely happy with the price Porto was asking and especially the part where Porto wanted 9M€ paid immediately, which Liverpool were okay with.

We didn’t choose this life.
This life chose us.
Lots of reports online that Mainz has accepted a 10M€ bid from Sporting for Jeremiah St. Juste, agent currently negotiating the contract with the club, the fact that we've guaranteed a place in the Champions League group stage was apparently essential for the player to accept the possibility of playing for us.
From what I've seen, he would be perfect for us.

Missed the Liverpool game while grading finals. Was it a game of two halves or was the score line misleading?

Was fairly deserved after the first half. But ran completely out of steam, and Diaz came on to make a big difference.

Second half normal Liverpool and tired Villarreal
As much as L'pool fans will play it down it was never in doubt for Liverpool to come back. They are just so damn good and Klopp's heavy metal football is hard to stop over two halves.
Pool fans
it will be easier in the finals against Madrid, so please root for us tomorrow.
Manyoo fans
Root for us so we can destroy Pool again in the final.
I would much rather play Real Madrid even though I don’t know that they’d actually be an easier match up compared to City.
It’s more that an all-English CL-final goes against the whole raison d’etre of the tournament.

Just been looking at past CLs. Since 2000, there have been 14 Spanish teams in the final. With Liverpool's confirmation, there have 14 English teams over the same period. So City - Madrid will be the tiebreaker.
Crazy to think that if City go through, 3 out of the last 4 finals will have been all English affairs. That feat has not been done by any country, even when it was called the European Cup.

By n8 dogg Go To PostWell, WhoScored ranked them using whatever mad data they have. Don’t get it.Key passes, XFG or whatever bullshit metric they invent to balloon player stats up and jack up city and psg (And barcelona and madrid)
Eriksen for sure, Diaz is obvious, Bruno G and Gallagher as well.
The others are based on data where in some cases another player may have done as well or better if they had taken their place. Ronaldo, for example.
But again, Diaz. One more time, Diaz. He was Porto’s best player, no? Hardly an unknown. But like Salah and Mane, we’ve ended up with these excellent forwards that have slotted in perfectly
