By Perfect Blue Go To Post30m? Somewhat surprised, I would think they could get more Mane for him.
Lpool journos saying we want we’ll more than that. Suspect the final figure will be around €45/€50m, and we’ll try to use Madrid’s bid for Mbappe last year as the benchmark.
For €30m we might as well just tell him to give us one more year and then leave for free.

Poor man. He seems like a good lad. But it’s difficult to compete against oil clubs, Madrit and lasers

He looks broken tbh. He was absolutely magical at the start of the season and since AFCON has looked incredibly ordinary.

Probqblu the right decision as soon as he agreed to take the Austria job
Ralf had enough, can’t take working at United anymore. Disastrous interim job from all sides and everyone invoked.

This is it really. I don't know if Murtough will be any good at his job. He's highly regarded for his time in our youth set up. He revamped the training and recruitment systems there. But he's still an internal appointment and theres always the feeling that eventually they'll be ground down to the Glazer way of thinking.

its cause of him we're making drastic changes.
but man, relations must have collapsed behind the scenes.

It was 10Hague that got rid of him then.

Not keeping him for the consultancy (the thing he's meant to be good at) renders his whole tenure as worse than a disaster, but a profound waste of time.
That is worrying.

I still maintain it was insane to give up on the season in November. Even easier to see now with hindsight.
James Garner starts for Forest in the Championship Playoff final.

It does reflect poorly on United as an institution. We've consistently made the wrong managerial appointments since Ferguson retired. And we compounded those problems by failing to overhaul the recruitment system. Something which every one of our ex managers highlighted as a significant issue. Rangnick ultimately wasn't successful as a coach, but surely we must have known that at this point of his career, his strengths lay in the DoF role rather than in coaching
We've a lot of issues to contend with on the playing side and at the technical/recruitment level. I'm somewhat pacified by the fact that in Ten Hag, we've a genuinely elite level coaching talent who is still at his peak. Moyes and Solksjaer were never at that level, LVG was years past his best and Mourinho was clearly on the decline as well.
It's now on the technical staff to show they've learned from mistakes and are able to bring in the right players. I'm not as confident on that front however.

not only poor managers, but the absolute shit signings.
I don't think United's signings since Ferguson as individuals have been that bad... the players they signed all had pretty good reputations and pedigrees. The issue lies with something much deeper, like ffs they had prime Di Maria and somehow managed to squander him.

We signed him and then gave him to a manager who told him he's not allowed to dribble.

The issue lies with something much deeper, like ffs they had prime Di Maria and somehow managed to squander him.The individual quality of players signed has never really been the issue. We've made some bad ones but in general I've been happy enough with who we've signed even if they weren't first choice targets.
United's recruitment is poor because we got these great players into the side but never considered that they might all require different systems to really flourish. Like Horse said, we signed Di Maria, one of the best creative dribblers in the world, and a dozen matches into his United career, LVG told him to stop dribbling. We bought Pogba, one of the best creative passers in Europe, and told him to play 30 yards from his own goal and build up play rather than being the receiver of the ball in the opposition third.
Sancho has experienced the same issue. His greatest strength is his strong decision making, especially for such a young player. He flourished at Dortmund because he had multiple options to choose from from every time he got the ball. Multiple teammates making forward runs for him to pass to or to open up space for him to dribble. At United every player is set up to receive the ball to feet and are stationary waiting for the ball. He can't actually make any decision that could positively influence the game.

Good, bye.
I think Sadio going will clear the way for Mo to sign a new deal with us. Firstly because of the wages we’re saving, and secondly excuse Sadio would almost certainly be asking for parity on whatever Mo ends up on.
I just really hope we can get him back to where he was in 2021. Last thing we need is him on £400k per week when he’s past his best.

Tbf Harry Kane really doesn't get the respect he deserves. He absolutely is on the level of Benzema or Lewandowski as an individual talent. But football is a team game and he has never played for a team as good as Madrid or Bayern.
Referee might have just gave the Ulster Championship to Derry
By Perfect Blue Go To PostSurprised there's only 1 United player there
Does that mean Pogba was giving away a free kick 70% of the time he attempted a tackle or am I reading it wrong?
