Campioniiiiii d'Italia! What a great way to win it, the team was laser focused to do the job. It's the first trophy for many of the players and it's the youngest team to win a Scudetto.
Thanks for all the congrats, mates! The very long banter era is finally over!

Fuck Arteta. We’ve gone backwards under him. Emery took 70m investment and achieved 70pts and an EL final. Arteta has had 3 seasons, 300m direct investment & 480m total investment, and he still hasn’t matched what Emery achieved after 3 seasons. Zero progression, we’ve only gone backwards.

Say right now that teams will automatically get a 3-0 loss in the result of a pitch invasion and that’ll nip it in the bud.
The latest article on United from the Athletic paints an even worse picture of the club than I thought possible.
Ronaldo tried to take over everything, Bailly was recalled to the squad from AFCON because he wasn't actually where he said he'd be. Cavani and Martial faked multiple injuries and illnesses to get out of matchday squads. Phil Jones was acting the prick. Lingard was a dickhead etc.
Suggests that Rangnick struggled to motivate the squad as he'd never managed a team with so many interpersonal issues. On the pitch it boiled down to too many different players wanting to play under different systems. He tried to adapt to the lowest common denominator, for a one size fits all plan, but it couldn't accommodate the high intensity pressing that he used at all clubs. So his USP was irrelevant.
It also suggests that a couple of months ago he stopped involving himself with the day to day coaching of the club and instead tried to address the underlying structural issues which caused the on field playing dysfunction mentioned above. So we'd a bunch of novices coaching us like under Solksjaer.

same points total this season would've gotten top 4 last season
it's all about context, emery got us to an el final completely carried by inform aubameyang and lacazette then got completely humiliated,
arteta isnt the greatest manager yet but this season we have definitely shown progress and we've played very very good at times, probably the most entertaining arsenal season since 15/16

it was shit from a united pov - but in a way I am glad things imploded, we've needed a real reset for a long time and that wouldn't have happened had Ole continued to Forest Gump his way through, also Matt Judge and Woodward gone.

LOL. We’ve only shown progress because Arteta took us to the ducking stone ages. We’ve never sunk so low as a club. 8th place twice. This season we had 13 losses, the most we’ve had in a PL season.

Points total doesn’t mean a lot, it’s more of a sign of the overall quality of the league.
The truth is United shit the bed, their worst season in Premier League history, Spurs were in 8th when Conte took over, and at one point Arsenal had a huge gap between them and Tottenham and they fucked it up.
Arteta has tried to get top 4 with a bunch of kids and Arsenal’s squad is well below their rivals so it’s not a surprise he’s failed, but he has spent a lot of money so I’m not sure he can use that as an excuse.
Personally, I hope Arsenal stick with him for a long time.

If you’re a rival fan, the bolded makes sense. Arteta took over a team that finished 5th with 70pts and had reached an EL final. That squad has had 480M invested and he’s had close to 3 years to build a squad as he sees fit. Despite that, he’s utterly failed, first season was 8th (but he came 1/3 into the season), 2nd season was 8th with a record number of losses and this season he’s come 5th with 69 pts. So despite record spend & patience, he still hasn’t matched Emery first season.
Now compare him to Conte. He took over a team in 9th place (that had finished 7th season the season before) and within half a season got them into 4th. That’s the difference between a great manager and a shit/average one like Arteta. We should be aiming to bring a manager like Conte and not continue with a wasteman like Arteta
Also, you gotta remember we had no european football at all to distress our squad. Went out early on the FA Cup also. We only needed to do the basics.

I thought Arsenal did pretty well this season considering there are some significant shortcomings in the team.
Really hope Origi smashes it in Serie A for Milan. Seeing his goodbye send-off got me a little choked up. Of the most important goals of the Klopp era, he was responsible for probably half of them. Not sure what it was preventing him from breaking through to a consistent top level striker, but hope he finds that success in Italy!

Everton’s inability to not be violent sociopaths ruined our 20/21 season and Origi’s career at Liverpool.
Origi is the absolute epitome of cult legend. Scored about ten times and they were all against Everton or in fucking Champions League finals.

also scored a legendary comeback winner against Barcelona, and a crucial winner against Wolves this season. He seems to be unable to score whenever he starts and unable to not score when he comes on a sub.
By Kermit Go To Postu okay hun?Just a bit of banter m8. We all like to poke fun at the various foibles of other teams after missing out, like how Levy is a crazy negotiator, or Klopp is a sore loser, or Man City's owners like to torture the workers they enslave.

By Xpike Go To Postsame points total this season would've gotten top 4 last seasonI'm not saying we haven't made progress, we've got a good young squad and if we can add the quality and depth needed this summer we might be able to push on but I don't think that's just on the players getting better it's also whether the manager can learn and push on too.
it's all about context, emery got us to an el final completely carried by inform aubameyang and lacazette then got completely humiliated,
arteta isnt the greatest manager yet but this season we have definitely shown progress and we've played very very good at times, probably the most entertaining arsenal season since 15/16
We've lost so many games this season and most of them came in streaks which has consistently happened while Arteta has been our manager over the last three seasons, that suggests to me he can't motivate the team after a loss. Also whenever we go 1-0 down we rarely turn it around (I think we might have done it once this season) which is really worrying and again is on Arteta because it shows he can't change things mid game to turn it around.
Maybe he will do better next season with the squad we have next year if we bring in the players we need but all I know is that it's been three seasons now and he still hasn't managed to get as many points in the league as Emery got in his first season and I don't think any of us thought that was good enough either.
The risk with a squad like Arsenal’s being so young is that it fizzles out before the players can grow into their potential. You need to bolster the team so that you don’t play them into the ground, or lose them to the bigger fish because you took too long to make serious challenges
