I’d never have imagined Mbappe, Neymar and Messi would all slide into irrelevance before Cristiano Ronaldo.
By Oddinho Go To PostI’d never have imagined Mbappe, Neymar and Messi would all slide into irrelevance before Cristiano Ronaldo.Lol CR7 has been dead for like 3 years, lad
Ronaldo plays for a PL team, and fail as they may, they’re actually trying to compete in a very tough league and Ronaldo is their leading goal scorer.
By Cleff Go To PostDavid Gray was a superstar in Ireland. Slightly depressing song, but a fantastic one.I consider "White Ladder" to be one of the best albums ever made.
By Oddinho Go To PostI’d never have imagined Mbappe, Neymar and Messi would all slide into irrelevance before Cristiano Ronaldo.Despite the league and the dominance, don't think mbappe is dead. He will still dominate for France too.
I hope Hixx has a good time today, but unfortunately I've been reminded that Barry Glendenning exists so I can't continue my neutral stance on Sunderland getting promoted. C'mon Wycombe.
good luck m8, if you do win i'll be happy for you and ONLY you

The Two Time.
So here is the BVB analysis since Milch & Penny can't do it. Considering my wife's a club member I watch nearly all their matches.
On one hand the decision is quite surprising. Rose just got his transfers for new CBs with Schlotterbeck and Nicklas Süle from Bayern. Adyemi THE young promising German striker from RB Salzburg was bought as Haaland replacement. And apparently Rose was very involved in talks of vision and playstyle with these guys.
Rose was basically building his squad and Dortmund was supplying him with the transfers. That's why it was quite surprising although I'm happy about it.
Because on the other hand he failed in several important areas to deliver. BVB failed to pose a threat to Bayern in a season in which they were wavering and inconsistent once again. The domination of Bayern is not an example of their strength but rather an indictment of failure for BVB and RB Leipzig. The latter got rid of Jesse Marsch and are today trying to salvage their season by winning the DFB Pokal. Tedesco did an amazing job over there taking them from 11th in December to a CL spot and 4th.
Meanwhile Dortmund failed in the Pokal in the round of 16 Vs 2nd Division St.Pauli, failed in the CL in a fairly manageable group with Amsterdam, Istanbul and Sporting and failed in their first Europa League knockout game vs Rangers in an astonishing way losing 2:4 at home.
Rose failed to improve the defense and never managed to get the team to perform consistently. Injuries certainly were a factor but in terms of work rate, concentration and desire they never showed what is expected from them (traits a lot of of BVB fans jealously had to witness at Frankfurt's EL Matches). Furthermore he lost any favour he had with the fans in the last weeks - with 2nd place secured and nothing to go for, he consistently let players play who were going to leave Dortmund anyway. Instead of giving youth players a chance he let players like Witsel, Rainier, Zagadou and Akanji get more minutes. Most of their performances were terrible which made matters worse.
Overall pressure on management in form of Watzke and newly appointed Sebastian Kehl will be through the roof now. Yes Zorc got a brilliant farewell and he managed BVB overall quite well, but Zorc also splurged millions on transfer duds. Returns of Götze, Kagawa and Sahin were considered ill-guided. His most expensive transfers with Schulz, Schürrle, Malen and Brandt are so far missfires. Basically: for each Haaland, Sancho, Dembele or Aubameyang there was a just as expensive failure he bought.
Reappointment Terzic, who was kept on as technical director after salvaging last season by reaching the CL and winning the Pokal was always looming as potential replacement above Rose's head. Each time BVB lost with 2-4 goals difference TV cameras in the stadium focussed on him - saying the obvious everyone was thinking. Rose showed confidence cracks in TV interviews. I guess most fans are happy with Terzic appointment but I'm not sure if he's the right man for the job. Most of all this team needs someone to inject the fire and desire back into the players hearts and I just have the feeling that some of the players, similar to the United situation, just don't care or can't do any better.

Seems weird they’d buy those players and then sack him. Dortmund model looking flawed since Kloppo left.
I guess Tuchel and Favre had some success

or they might have a sporting director laying down the foundation, and getting coaches in who fits the way they want to play/the players they have. A novel idea, I know.

I’m responding to the post above that suggests these were signings made with Rose in mind.
Responding to something as is actually written instead of making up a response to something else. Also novel, I know.
Vlahovic scored 24 goals in 35 games this season, 7 in 14 for Juventus. 41 out of his 44 goals for Fiorentina were inside the box.
This is your boy Shanks???

lmao i should never have doubted people who said he would stay. just getting every last bit of money out of the club and gaining more player power. legend.
and maybe they think that their new coach, can work with those players just as well. I understand it's confusing for manchester club fans.
(my post was a response to both posts, btw, that's why i didnt quote you specifically)

That doesn’t contradict the notion of working with a coach to make signings then sacking him any less confusing.
If I bought Dean a hooker because I thought he wouldn’t kill them with his bare hands and then he did kill them with his bare hands, I still look a fool for trusting Dean

Yes.
Crazy that he is still only 22.

I would find it a lot more confusing if he wasnt involved at all, unless a new manager was already announced and in place. I would also find it weird if they stopped doing any transfers completely, because there was doubt about the manager. That shit happens all the time and can work out just fine, if there is an overall strategy for the future. Many of those 'Mourinho players' when he came in, were also already signed or having had heavy discussions with the club and Ranieri.
But I guess you can ask what doing fine in Dortmund really is. Just finishing second forever I guess. Would be nice to see them take a stance against getting cucked by Bayern all the time though

Where is she buried n8?
Where?
Macron the butcher involved huh? Can't blame Mbop for not following his heart then. Truly the symbol of modern day slavery. T_T
Hard to believe the whole threat talk.
Passing on Madrid after all the chit chat doesn’t look good, specially when you’re playing for BUM club like PSG, but still you can argue that La Liga isn’t exactly the most exciting league in the world ATM anyway.
But why not go to Liverpool? Make history in the biggest league in the world, for a great club with a great team managed by a truly great manager, and make all the millions you could possibly make with your image rights. Go H2H against Haaland, be at the center of the footballing narrative of this era and win titles that matter.
I only care because he’s a generational talent, and considering Ronaldo was his idol growing up, it’s sad to see he doesn’t seem to have anywhere near the competitive spirit that turned CR into one of the GOATs.
“Make your paper, get that bag etc etc” well sure, but I don’t watch football for that, that gives me nothing as a fan, which doesn’t mean I’m opposed to footballers making as much money as they can… it’s just that it’s not a particularly relevant part of any football story I care about.

If you’re expecting a generational talent of Mbappe’s standing to come to us when he’s using the likes of Real and PSG against each other to bump up his pay packet then I don’t know what to tell you.
If you want to play for Liverpool, then money has to be around 4th or 5th on your priority list, and it’s pretty clear with Kylian’s recent conduct that it’s far closer to the top than that.
That’s not a personal criticism of him, any player of a certain stature is encouraged to act in that way, and to a degree it is understandable, but it’s also why none of them will ever come to Liverpool in their prime.

I think it does put a little bit of extra emphasis on the CL for Madrid now. Losing that final and missing out on Mbappe in the space of 2 weeks would be pretty grim.
🚨 In all likelihood, Leonardo and Mauricio Pochettino will LEAVE PSG! The club will change a lot this summer.Mbappe working already.
