Oh yeah there's always a meta car. It changes based on the circuit and when they adjust the bop too.
Why in God's name can't I use traction control in the mission drag race? LOL even a lower powered stock car smokes its wheels with just a touch of the throttle. It doesn't make sense. Even with super sticky tires, light throttle, my bone stock 2023 Z just spins - which is not at all how the car would react in real life, btw. In actual drag races you're allowed to adjust settings like this on your car. This is so bizarre.

One of my races had a DeLorean leading a fucking Viper.
We're talking a 350HP difference here. Nevermind the weight advantage the Viper has too.

GT has always been terrible with drag racing in general. I can't believe they have never had a real drag strip with a real tree that you gotta line up and react to and not just some 3, 2, 1 GO setup. How do they not have slicks or drag radials, half of the people that play GT just go to the longest tracks and drag race all day.

This is so true! Half of the online community just lines up in Tokyo and drag races around the loop. How does PD not see this??
I have always chosen the path less traveled with GT online and never cared for the meta car. Although it has been difficult watching cars swoop by because my Porsche doesn't have the straight line speed.
Can't wait for 1.07 though, need to finish those license tests.

So they nerfed some of the payouts of races people were grinding, and yeah it's not good, especially when they're pushing currency DLC in a full price game. Seems like this is the hardest GT to make money in too.

Yeah that's an enormous oof.
I suspect this is going to blow up on them and they'll change it eventually (but not before they've profited off a few whales first).

I am one of the people who gave them money to buy a car, please do not hold it against me.
Having said that, I wish they weren't so blatantly trying to make it difficult to earn credits in the game.
The correction to WTC 800 is good, the rest is unwarranted in my opinion.

Also not a great look when your game is largely single player and yet requires always-online and then your server maintence runs long.
This is absolutely bothersome, I'm about to head home in a bit and was looking forward to some GT7.
Now I will be demoted to playing Rocket League with my noob teammates.

200iq idea to make fucking gran turismo online only.

GRID had it, and did it really well
They could do DLC, release 2 maps 1 is the drag strip and the next is some industrial point a to point b area where you do street racing for credits.
Flying pele around the world isn't cheap lads. I suggest letting him know this in a very strongly worded post. Be sure to mention Arsenal as often as possible.
Lmao I just found out you can win car parts in the roulettes that can't be bought in the parts shop. Wtf is PD doing lol
PD have done something really bad with the game lol
Sport never had a maintenance to last more than 4 hours.
When you put always online on even for offline stuff, you HAVE to deliver the servers...

They’re saying they found a bug with 1.07
At this point this is not a maintenance, they’re essentially eliminating the bug and releasing a new patch.
Being a Sony first party studio means the certification will be swift, so most likely it will be out today.

That was a hack though, this is more likely a progression wipe which needs them to restore the server from a backup and issue a new patch.
Anyway, it was really late when Kaz tweeted his apology so I don’t expect them to stay all night to fix the servers.
These are wild speculations on my part.

Ironically I was on GTPlanet earlier and the people were incredibly upset with the game well before this outage.
Here I am, just having fun playing race after race. Possibly because I didn’t cram the whole single player in a day.

By Daz Go To PostThe downtime has nothing to do with the earthquake?
Apparently not. But even if it did, maybe don't have your all important servers in a place prone to earthquakes.
Or even better, don't have always online, and just let people play all the single player stuff as they please. Everyone who knows sony could see this coming. Although I'm sure that will get in their way of micro transactions, for their 70 dollars games.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostFirst and last time I’m going to buy a live service game such as this.Even for the rocky first month or so of live service games, this is horrendous. lol
By Burt The Samurai Go To PostI didn't even realize that GT7 was a live service game. Legit thought it was regular GT.Yeah I was on a media blackout for the most part and had no idea it was online only and has microtransactions. Just saw the reviews and was like “GT is back!” So I guess the joke is on me.
