By Kibner Go To PostDarktide runs and looks acceptable on my 1070 with FSR 2.0 on Performance mode. It was dog shit in both respects running at native. Talking about sub-30 fps and jaggies and crawling lines fucking everywhere (even with TAA turned on!) to 45-75 fps with no more crawling lines and few jaggies, though a softer image, overall.
By Kibner Go To PostI have literally everything but TAA turned off (where possible) or to low. I am also running at 1440p, however.
It is time my brother
I have a slightly used () 3080ti that will soon be available………
lmao
I appreciate the offer, but am holding out for that 7900XTX in a couple weeks or so, pending reviews. Don't care much about RT so the increased raster performance for the same or less money along with increased VRAM is really appealing to me. FSR 2.0 also is "good enough" for upscaling tech.

I only played past the tutorial (Midnight Suns), so I'm only just now really getting started with the game. It hasn't had me engage to much with the social link stuff (lost some friendship points with Blade, because I was an asshole or something), but the combat is fun. Definitely does a good job with making you feel like you're controlling these broken ass super heroes.
Completely forgot about Fuser, I was so in love with that game for about a month. Going to grab some DLC before it's delisted.

I've got a better grasp of the X-Com basics like research and the like (simplified as it is), as well as the combat. Apparently, if you meet certain criteria, the next difficulty unlocks, while you play. What that is, I don't know, but I just got it doing regular missions (haven't progressed the story).
Covert Ops missions work exactly as they did in War of The Chosen. Here, you spend intel and send a hero out on a mission, for rewards. I don't know if there is a chance for negatives to affect you or not. Still super early game.
I haven't messed around with injuries to much. Still working on different decks, so I didn't bother bringing the two heroes that I had injured on mission. They do gain negative status effects if you bring them tho.
Certain heroes def feel built different. When Carol goes Binary or Iron Man is on his bullshit, things just die. I don't really feel hampered by not having the more....overpowered heroes on every mission. Still a lot of room for different strategies to use, during combat.
Some folks are not going to like the timers for some mission types. LOL

My mind still wanders back to 1512. To a small Upper Bavarian town of Tassing
Where I was serving an apprenticeship as an illuminator at Kiersau Abbey
Then I'm back here again, playing mid 70 dollars games.

I'll spoiler tag this one game mechanic for Midnight Suns.
I was not expecting bosses to just appear in random missions, like it's War of The Chosen.
This shit is addictive. The one thing that I wish they did differently, is pace the tutorial / very beginning of the game better. It goes on for a bit to long.

Free weekends are certainly no fun. Full of people who refuses to learn the rules of the game, even if they're told several times.
If you try it out I recommend something like the band of brothers servers, where most squads talk and have commandors giving out orders and so on.
It's a good mix of people taking of seriously, but still friendly and ready to do dumb shit if it seems fun. Really kind of the friendliest game community I've ever seen.
By Yurtlicious Go To PostWooden what did you make of Deadly Premonition 2 ?
Didn't play it too much tbh. Didn't seem like an instant classic like the first and performance seemed way worse somehow
