Yeah pretty much same (although been slightly quieter in the last two months). This year has almost been more of a write-off than last year for me. Just utterly shit.
havent taken a vacation since covid as most places were closed and other countries were too

I will change my statement to: I would recommend getting ill enough that the government pays you, without you having to do anything while unemployed.

Been busy always, it is what it is. WFH is great I can take a dump in my own toilet in true privacy.
I’ve read that WFH has been great for productive people and terrible for people who rely more on social dynamics at the office. Would love for there to be a study around this, as anecdotal experience on my end does seem to support the idea somewhat. Know a few people who have been fast climbers in the company they work at, and they all had a more difficult time with WFH. Usually the complaint is more work than at the office, and they miss office dynamic.
It’s pretty much a fact that in most work environments the key to success is to appease people and be cunning about it, but still this whole covid situation would be the perfect environment to do some research on the matter.

Office politics and social dynamics can kick fucking rocks chief I’m glad my employer is fully aware of productivity rather than the appearance of productivity like it is in the office

By Xpike Go To Posthavent taken a vacation since covid as most places were closed and other countries were tooMy wife and I flew to Seattle for a week to visit our friends there at the end of June and into early July (fortunately before Delta was totally rampant) and it was such a delight to just be somewhere else after so long. Otherwise we did a road trip to Big Bend National Park around Christmas, but that has been it. Had to cancel our Japan summer trip for the last two years.. hopefully next year comes off. Think we are going to try and extend it a few more days and visit South Korea as well. We really want to go to Jeju Island.

Bruh, I'm not going to rehash all the tropes you've probably heard about running your own business but they're true. Absolutely worth it though.
I'm learning to delegate things though, we have an office move so happening soon getting someone to decorate so thats one thing.

Didn’t I just watch Italy beat Spain?
Hopefully the French beat the Belgians, might make the final more interesting.
