By n8 dogg Go To PostMourinho doesn’t have a reputation for a solid defence?
By Bungie Go To PostNo, it's been his biggest failure these past 18 months
Historically though his organisation of a defence and his motivation and forging of siege mentality have been his biggest plus points. If he doesn’t have that, what else does he have?
I thought he’d do really well tbh. He’s always been much more used to the underdog/little horse role, and I thought Spurs was perfect for that. Surprised how inadequate they’ve been.
I mean his teams for the last 3-4 years had bad defences but he still has that reputation from earlier in his career.
Spurs need a new coach and pray Kane stays. Will be incredibly tough if he leaves then. They play proper Mou football it gets to a point you just stop caring.
Fantastic second half. Loved the 1st goal. Greenwood is still the best option on the RW and Rashford doesn't look fit at all.

You can stop at "historically" when it comes to Mourinho
And I don't think anyone should be surprised with how inadequate his management is

I mean, you’re talking to someone who thoroughly wanted him gone in his second season at United lol, I’m no stranger to lack of mourale. But I always thought it was a better fit for him than United was.

Has he though? He's hasn't been in that role since Porto, and that was arguably only relatively to the European heavyweights.

By faridmon Go To PostYeah, found out earlier this year and it was mind blowingLingard will always be a prospect to me.
He will almost be a youngster to me, he has a face of an 18 year old too
Mou will certainly be brought to Everton by Moshiri after Ancelotti retires/leaves in years time, considering how badly run club we are
Take a 5 year sabbatical, Mou, we will call you in due time

Alli should have done everything to get himself a loan away in January. He'll be under the Mou bus until either of them leave.

His career's been on a downward trajectory since he got booted that second time. Look at the table when he left them:

I think he is held hostage

It's genuinely surprising that people still think he has a reputation as a man that can build a solid defence, as opposed to just being a defensively minded coach. Especially after all the games we've played like very very recently
By Punished* Go To PostDon't know why I've just realised but that Spurs shirt is shite.
Most Nike kits aren't too great.
Kits in general are just really lazy to me these days. Used to buy 5+ a year and now I barely buy 1 or 2
I do like some of the Arsenal Adidas stuff though.

Chelsea were nouveau riche first time round with no titles for 50 years battling against the old hierarchy, and second time round had City and a resurgent Liverpool to deal with (this was the little horse era right?)
Inter’s CL run was predicated on them being underdogs, and even his time at Madrid he was up against the greatest team in history.
Look at Fergie, lads. Pouring salt and everything in the kitchen cupboards into the wound.

That's more to do with how reputations don't change as quickly as the reality on the ground. People keep acting as though these last 4-5 years are some kind of anomaly and Mou will come back from it, when he simply won't.
You'll be free of Mou soon, scummo. No Yurop clause in his contract will activate if you lose your final to Citeh, and you can get rid for cheaper.

Hmm. I guess "underdog" is all relative.
I think the whole little horse thing was just a deflection tactic tbh - we could have won it bar a couple of cock-ups.
One last thing, the overreaction to what was a good VAR decision today was mental
And a lot of the comments that followed were pretty embarrassing . No one is ever going to watch a game and see everything objectively, that's a given, but this was a level of unwarranted outrage I didn't know existed. Even compared to some of those old Classicos

There's no Europa League spot for the Cabarao winners m8

Feel like all those United fans crying about the correct decision don't really deserve to enjoy this performance.
Thought we were six ahead of Spurs having won three in a row, only three points ahead though
Christ, we've been shit. Relegation battle has just withered and died.

By Vini.lad Go To PostThere's no Europa League spot for the Cabarao winners m8There is something called a Europa Conference League next season, which is the third tier of European competition. Cariboo winner gets in if no other European football.
Mou did manage to build a solid defense both at United and Chelsea, although it fell apart both places as well. At Chelsea I would argue it was very much the top management, that put him into a shit position too though. Mou knew what was needed and got fucking Hector and Miazga (iirc) instead. But as the years progressed, it feels like he isnt good at much anymore, other than making enemies. Even if he does build a solid defense, it always just feels like a matter of time, before it all falls apart.
Edit: No it was Djilobodji, not Miazga who didnt come before January. Djilobodji who didnt even seem good enough for a struggling Sunderland. and Rahman too lol

Flick to Germany.
Naglesmann to Bayern.
Benitez to Tottingham.
Son to Bayern the season after.
Kane to Man City or Man Utd.
Ndombele to PSG.
I need to get my summer betting on.
