every damn time I make my car payment online
I honestly prefer going in person bc of the damn site 😂
I set up auto payment with my credit union for my car loan. Never have to worry about forgetting it.
By Smokey Go To Posti dont trust auto paymentDid you forget to pay someone and now the state is coming after you?
By Smokey Go To Posti dont trust auto paymentyou're sitting down doing bills manually at the end of the month?
i have auto payments for everything. if something fucks up, i get a notice about it (only happened once), and I could pay it easily manually without any problem or added fee's.
By DiPro Go To Postyou're sitting down doing bills manually at the end of the month?
mmhmm
been doing it for years. i pay my CCs during the month as i use them, so really it's utilities, rent, and student loans (no car payment).
By DiPro Go To Postyou're sitting down doing bills manually at the end of the month?yep.
im shook for life
The only things I have on auto-payment is my mortgage and car loan. I pay everything else manually. I track my expenses better when I have to make the effort to pay for things.
Only have autopay for 2 things, my phone/Internet service and my loan. Everything else better send me a bill if they want money.
By post-sy Go To PostCouldn't imagine putting my car note on autopay. I have it for my internet and phone bills though.
I'm sayin
Wake up and your account cleaned out
Well considering the bank can take your car and your house it's better they get more than none at all just saying.
By reilo Go To PostY'all trust landlords with autopay?rent is the same each month. i used to automatically send it to them at the end of the month, i'm not being charged for it.

Yeah same. Except in the Philippines, where the landlord wanted payment cash every month. fucking mess that was.
I autopay, but via my bank, not from the biller. I just set it up to pay standard amounts every month or week, overpaying usually by design.
Credit cards, yeah, I pay them shits off as soon as I incur the charge. I'm here for the cash back rewards, not the finance charges.
Well, I guess I don't autopay everything else, but I get the bills via email and then just as quickly handle online through my bank.

So you're saying someone you already know works in IT for a bank doesn't know about online billpay.
But I'm the boomer.

Banks of course are bloated and mired by layers upon layers of bureaucracy in IT, but even if you assume the worst, you should also think we would know how to use our own products.
But I've been using online billpay (through a different bank than my employer) for however long it has been available. Except for a brief period in 2013-2014 when I was in process of buying a house and the builder wanted actual checks for deposits, I otherwise would not have written a check in over 20 years.
By reilo Go To PostTell me Pac, have you identified all your fake accounts yet?
I reassigned them all to you. Check your credit report once in a while.
By Pac-12 Go To PostI reassigned them all to you. Check your credit report once in a while. You know how I have a good credit score? By never using your bank 😂

True fact, though, I barely missed having to learn COBOL by a semester...

...not a customer, either....
Not one damn account.

I’m the opposite. I have some things like car insurance and my phone on autopay, but my mortgage payment is not. I generally pay that the second I get paid at the end of the month. My wife and I are both biweekly and get paid on the same Friday
By Fenderputty Go To Post post with the A+ troll gameShit... That pisses me off tho.. lol
By post-sy Go To PostI've never written a check and I don't know what needs balancing in a check bookWhen you write a check, it comes directly out of your checking account. Balancing your checkbook means updating your checking account balance in your physical checkbook with all deposits and withdrawals from your checking account so that you won't try to write a check your account can't cover.
By DiPro Go To Postwhat's a check?A cheque

The average medical resident is earning $63,400 annually, according to Medscape’s Residents Salary and Debt Report 2020, an increase of 3% from the $61,200 they earned in 2019.
Doctors must complete a four-year undergraduate program, along with four years in medical school and three to seven years in a residency program.
8 years of school and presumably hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt to make 60k a year and work in a hospital?!!
There's gotta be an insane shortage of hospital doctors, right?
