Earlier in the day, video from CNN affiliate KPRC showed numerous people rushing through a VIP entrance at the event – knocking over metal detectors and sometimes other people, and ignoring security staff. Not saying the syringe thing has to be true but jesus anyone could have gotten in with anything ffs.
The video showed some people helping a few others up. Peña said he didn't know what caused the rush, either.
"We do know that we had people jump the fence," and at least one person was injured in the afternoon rush, Peña said.

The coverage is giving me Hillsborough vibes. Mistakes were made at the venue but better cast blame on the fans.
People acting horrible when they knew social norms, I can't even fathom what thousands of fools with no more social filters are going to act

there's nothing that gives me more anxiety than thinking about getting crushed in a large crowd.
experienced a very minor incident like that when i was a kid at a concert. knowing you can't do anything against it and seeing the panic in the faces of others scarred me for life.

Quality-wise it is fairly close, I thought Astroworld was great for most of the album.

I was there when Aaron Lewis of Staind stopped a show because he noticed people molesting crowd surfers. I think he got them kicked out and also said he would stop the entire set and go home if he saw it again. Which was a fairly big deal since this was their first preformance in like ten years or whatever.

By Mister Go To Postit's pretty common for bands to stop shows, I saw this video a few months agoOh hey, the moment I talked about is at about 2:55 in that video. He went on for at least a couple minutes about how shitty of a person they were and how and why doing that is awful, iirc.

But the industry made sure he popped. Dude came out the gate with a TI co-sign when it mattered and a Kanye co-sign. It was written
By SavageGordonLung Go To PostGoing to a staind show as a girl and not getting molested seems unlikelyIn my headmath, no less than 10% of people who attend a concert get their lives fucked up at minimum.
By SavageGordonLung Go To PostGoing to a staind show as a girl and not getting molested seems unlikelyI don't know if this makes it better or not, but that particular show was just one of many at a hard rock & metal festival called Welcome to Rockville: https://welcometorockvillefestival.com/
It used to be in Jacksonville, but it looks like they have since moved to Daytona Beach.
also, none of the girls I went with said they had gotten molested, but they also may just not have wanted us to know
I can't do mosh pits anymore, lots of dumbasses down there.
a VIP table with free drinks is the easiest way to pick up a group of women too, I can't go back.

That's where dillinger played for the first time, after their bus crash. The reactions 3 min in, sensational
Also, who lets their 14 yo kid go there without any adult supervision?
I wasn't even allowed to go out past 6 PM when I was 14.
And the world got a lot more dangerous to kids since then.

Yeah, when we went outside to play whatever, I had to be back by dinnertime.
If I wanted to go out to a friend's after that, they would drop me off and pick me back up at the house to avoid shenanigans.
It didn't help that we're the world's Pedo capital.

By Lupercal Go To PostAlso, who lets their 14 yo kid go there without any adult supervision? Is it actually much more dangerous to kids or does it just feel that way because the dangers are much more heavily reported now? Like, an honest question. I know crime rates (or maybe just violent crime rates?) have been consistently dropping and are basically lower than ever right now. In America, at least.

By DiPro Go To Posti doubt it's more dangerous now than it was in the 90s or 80s.Maybe, still a huge festival like that and at 14 would be to young for mine if they had no chaperone with them.
My parents really got the fear struck in them from the whole Dutroux thing when we started becoming old enough to go play with friends alone and stuff.
By Lupercal Go To PostAlso, who lets their 14 yo kid go there without any adult supervision?Damn I used to pop up across town once I got a bike when I was 10 or 11. Pops used to be pissed I’d call him from my grandmas house like 15 miles away😂

Overall I’d say kids are safer than ever but we are overloaded with horror stories because of the 24 hrs news cycle living off instilling panic in the people.
When I was 16 I was allowed to go out alone until 10.30 PM lol. Unless I spent the night at a friend's house of course.
you either had very strict parents or mine were hippies. i lived alone at 16 lol, moved out because of my apprenticeship on the other side of the country.
My dad just worked long shifts so my mom had to take all responsibility of keeping us alive I guess haha.
Also my brothers were a lot older so I never got to tag along with them, that maybe would've helped.
But living alone at 16, seems a little hippiesh

I moved out abroad at 17-18, but to get a degree somewhere. Is there a correlation between rich and strict? We were kind of poor (my dad wasn't but was never around, you know the type lmao).
