Look how slow some consumer vehicles have to drive through it in order to be sure not to hit anything. Not only does it cause damage far beyond what rule breakers "deserve", it also slows down traffic to the point that people are just taking an illegal detour (the bus lane) just to be safe.
I hope all those drivers sue for damages.
This country is built to just suck money out of you at every turn. Get yours back.

Minutes are of the essence when dealing with wounds, strokes, heart attacks, etc.

Tbf, it was my first steering wheel cover, I thought it'd slip on like a condom.
Boy was I wrong. Apparently you're supposed to let it sit in the sun for a while or some shit.

Spanish-speaking slaent: is "asi que hoy es el dia" an accurate translation of "today's the day then" ?
Thanks guys. It's just like three lines in my project but they'll stand out way more if I fuck it up
Does using earplugs to sleep through noise actually work?

By Hitch Go To PostDoes using earplugs to sleep through noise actually work?Just be careful you get the earplugs which are made for sleeping, not all of them are.

Also, best sleep on your back then.
That's why I assume they won't work for me, even when I sleep on my back I end up with one side of my head shoved into the pillows. I'm practically deaf in the right ear ear so might get away with just having a plug in the left and sleeping on the right.
Can't imagine how annoying it'd be to work nights while living in a noisy area of a city

Try some mouldable silicone ear buds. You shape them into your ear and into the canal and they stay in. My brother uses them to great effect.
A lot of institutions in Dublin, museums, traditional Irish music pubs, old bookstores etc, are shutting down to be replaced by hotels. Like, it's thoroughly depressing as a native of the city. But I also can't understand what the endgame is. We're building more hotels to get more tourists in, but getting rid of the cultural hotspots that attract them in the first place.

Probably some corruption as well.
By Daz Go To PostAll about short term gain.Yep, it definitely seems like our City Council sees short term profits for the city in developing more hotels and short term rentals. But it's ruining what was great about the city. And no doubt someone, somewhere, is getting a backhander bribe from all this.
Probably some corruption as well.
By Pedja Go To PostStill no train line to the airport eitherYep. NIMBYISM is rife in certain areas. Especially in the more affluent areas of Dublin.
Most people recognise the benefit of having joined up commuter links around the entirety of the city and its suburbs. But they don't want it to impact their day to day life. And the local politicians are more than happy to accommodate them.

They keep giving license to build loads of ugly fucking student accommodation in our town for Warwick Uni students. Basically everything closed up apart from coffee shops and barbers. Millions of both.
