I can see it like, I’ve known people to reuse big brand labels on store brand goods. Like putting a Heinz label over smartprice beans but that was a 90’s early 2000’s thing in the UK.

Most people I know openly talk about shopping at Aldi/Lidl nowadays which is 90% store brand goods and pretty fucking cheap on the whole.
I've never had a non-Heinz baked bean that tastes half as good. Lidl's maxibon rip-offs are very good, which is especially nice since I haven't seen the real thing over here in about a decade.

I don’t rate Heinz tbh, sauce is too sweet. That said though, I normally mix in a bit brown sauce or Marmite if I’m having basic beans on toast so that becomes the dominant flavour over the sauce.
