Not weird at all because fascists and neo liberals are accepted. Comies are the end of days though.
By Xpike Go To Postits weird because communism is repeately mocked throughout the game and you can also just be a fascist or neo liberalist but the game got a pro communist image

But then so does wooden
I made my own disco ideology perfectly clear

By jjasper Go To PostWhat are the odds the font for disco Elysium is even legible on a tv screen
They are changing it a lot for the console release (and free upgrade to the version, for anyone owning the pc or mac version). So I would think they are making the font easier to read. But it's also fully voiced now, and that's.... a lot.
There are over a million words in Disco Elysium. That’s not hyperbole. For a benchmark, picture the entirety of The Lord of the Rings - all three books, plus The Hobbit for good measure - twice. And all of those million words, most of which previously sat in silence on the screen, are going to be read aloud in the upcoming Final Cut edition of the game. Full voice acting is coming to Disco Elysium, and - as you can probably guess - it’s been no small undertaking.

I feel like a lot of games have over 1m words. Especially ones with tons of shitty lore collectibles
Probably. But here's it's not just collectibles, that are written by a QA tester or whatever who was bored that day. It's the game itself, and it's all extremely well written
By sy Go To Postfor those who like this shitI'm not even the biggest pokemon fan, but something like Pokemon Legends has kind of been a dream since I was like 10. Hopefully it won't be a disappointment like that game cube one, but I'm going to be a good little piggy and buy this slop day one like I did Mario 3d allstars
The frames in Pokemon breath of the wild were hilariously bad
I usually don’t notice that but it looked really bad in that trailer, I know they’ll have a year to polish it but yikes

By Xpike Go To Postif it plays well, it can look like thomas was alone
Exactly. Been wanting an open world Pokemon forever and a day now.
Switch Pro, when tho.
It can play well and look good, surely? Enough good looking games have come out on the Switch, fuck, it launched with a better looking (and pretty great playing) open world game than this.
the open world pokemon game looks like it was made by students. so ugly. they need to put out a proper pokemon game that looks like pokemon snap. maybe next decade.
By DY_nasty Go To Postit's a shame that I can't trust anyone when it comes to disco elysiumNormally, Wooden is pretty reliable.
feels like the same crowd that loves Myst, telltale games, life is strange, and those weird notdavidcage horror games
Ubi too. Like, some studios MO these past two years has been taking every exclusivity deal out there. Stadia, Epic, Sony, etc.
I'd be very afraid if Phil Harrison showed up at a company I liked. How are you allowed threepeat when it comes to platforms DoA.
Take the money for ps console and EGS 1 year exclusive and then take the gamepass and stadia money. At that point does it even matter if the game sells?
Lots of studios doing that exactly. It also helps diminish the risk of certain games. Sega took 8 million "sales" at ~$3-5 from Epic for Total War: Troy and I don't think even 1 million people played it. Obviously for stuff like Red Dead 2 or Destiny on Stadia it's just free money after you cross the porting expenses threshold.

you cant trust a word he says. cries about "mobile game art" then is stroking his cock over a Chibi game the next minute.
btw, hixx thinks diablo 3 looks great, and that people preferring diablo 4's look are edge lords.
just saying. very smooth brain. but we accept all opinions. even the ones that are wrong.

Both Wooden and Hixx makes good points. But you know who makes excellent points? Me. Play Disco Elysium.

Every stadia game needs a Vulkan port if that version doesn’t already exist, right? Because of course Google would then have to pay publishers to setup them up. They need people on their Pro service, and Take-Two, Ubisoft, Bethesda, etc... are smart enough to take advantage of that
It's a Linux + Vulcan custom solution, so it wasn't "free" to port. Still, if you are getting a $20m check to port fucking Assassin's Creed you'll figure it out.
By domino Go To PostEh you never get Pokémon and “look good”Not giving it a pass because they're continually shit at a major part of their job. Same with Nintendo and online

i made this point all along too, and guess who doesnt like that either. 'i died after like 20 min because of something dumb, bad game'.
BAD BRAIN imo

There’s a GDC talk about this for Doom, which already had Linux support and being an id game is probably a unique case. But the amount of time and resource they dedicated to it was tiny.

I am glad My only and last Pokémon game was Yellow and never grew up to be a Pokémon fan (Except for the 1st generation ones)
I would be livid if I saw a franchise i loved being continuously get released half heartedly every year. These 2 Pokémon games don't look appealing at all. Diamond and Pearl look like a straight-out wii game. Maybe thats the whole point, that its supposed to look like the original game, but man that was underwhelming

Tech isn’t there yet. I have above optimal conditions for GeForce Now for example, and there will be nights or times when there’s lag, or the stream bugs out and the character starts doing 180s.
It becomes unplayable and that’s why I have been diving into Night City only late at night when things get smooth.
Another 15 years and it could take over.

Anyone play Breathedge? According to Steam reviews it's Subnautica but set in space
I loaded up the System Shock demo and I didn't realise until now what they've gone with in terms of these small unfiltered textures. Divisive to say the least. Maintaining the level geometry, recreating the assets faithfully and not having to guess what some things are supposed to be, wanting a retro feel, and I imagine most importantly staying within budget.... these would all be reasons to go the direction they went.

Nintendo fans defending how that Pokemon game looks. Pathetic.
Game Freak need to find some sort of higher power to make anything look half decent, Arceus looks worse than late PS2 titles. Pokemon/Nintendo fans are brainwashed beyond earthly help.

This place's obsession of Nintendo ''fans'' is boderline weird

By faridmon Go To PostGet a grip dude,I apologize if I am coming off as agressive, I was on the pokemon reddit and to be honest that may not be the best place to find nuanced takes in regards to Pokemon/Nintendo titles. The game looks terrible, runs terrible, seems like they applied a pokemon skin over the BotW engine but they still have a year to sort things out.

And I still expect a re-release on the next switch hardware with higher res and better performance.
I have definitely seen tons of fans on social media saying
'see this is why pokemon dont make shit for yall. yall always complain'
dont even act like its not out there and abundant. this is the only place i've seen overall down on it.
