By LFMartins86 Go To PostThe gameplay of Ori 1 is fine and the story is worth playing.
A very emotional ride.
I play a tiny bit of it after I played 2. You’re right, it’s fine. Like a 6/10 game would be.
Ori 2 is a genuinely great game though.
i only played the first and i sleep. had enough metroidvanias forever, especially when it's one that looks like a flash game with contrast set to 1000
Ori 1 did absolutely nothing for me when I tried it. Never entertained the thought of playing 2. I generally like Metroidvania style games too.

it truly is just more bizarre every time i see it. looks kind of fun tbh, but i will rather stick to my boomer online fps.
Fortnite is genuinely fun. Just a shame the skill ceiling for building is so insanely high that you need some fucking Korean RTS pro player dexterity shit going on to compete.
By Smokey Go To PostWatching my son mess around in Fortnite and what the fuck is this anymoreMy girlfriend still plays it regularly. My take is it’s an amalgamation of popular features from other games and pop culture, all tacked on to the skeleton of the original Fortnite gameplay.
Crafting got added, a ping system got added following Aoex Legends, etc. Then there’s the absurd amount of character skins in game from other games, films, cartoons and so on.
n8 are we rating things before we finish them now
what genres do you like Fender? The best games I've played on it so far are Fire Emblem, Astral Chain, SMT V and the game I own on every console, Slay the Spire. No More Heroes 3 and Bayonetta 2 on a lower tier
if you want a sensational metroidvania I'd personally go for Yoku's Island Express (or Ender Lilies) over Dread, I'm not even kidding. But get Dread anyway it's good fun
By Fenderputty Go To PostFirst Nintendo I’ve owned since forever. Kids like Mario party and Kart so that’s cool.you guys will love What The Golf and Wario Ware Get It Together too
What should I get for myself? Zelda?

Yeah, if you’re not liking it after the second room, there’s really no reason persisting. It doesn’t change at all, and the story isn’t worth trudging through something you don’t like for

I don't understand why they don't put a no build mode in there. I play with my friends and we get to top 5 and then there's people building a Taj Mahal once you shoot them and we lose. Building is just not fun.
I haven't got the brain to even remember that you can build in the heat of a firefight, let alone actually do it. Still don't think Fortnite plays particularly well, but it's a hell of a lot better than it was a couple of years ago.
Feel like I'm probably done with battle royales, Warzone should have grabbed me but never did. Reinstalled Apex three or four times now, and each time I stop playing after a few days.
If they could make it work in Factions I'd love that, but doubt Naughty Dog will go that way. Get the feeling that it'll try for too much and I'll end up just wishing they'd essentially updated the MP from TLOU1

downloaded fortnite the other day after the new season launched:
-generally impressed with the visuals and image quality on PS5
-hadn't played since....idk season 1? But it was overwhelming just how much it had changed. Cars, quests, in game npcs during a match, etc.
-The swinging mechanic is better than the Avengers game
I spent 10 minutes running around without seeing another player, got killed before even seeing where I was being shot from and uninstalled that bitch.
I hate battle royale.

Remedy Entertainment signs a global development, license and distribution agreement with Tencent for the co-operative multiplayer game codenamed Vanguard
The game codenamed Vanguard ("the game"), Remedy's original intellectual property, is a free-to-play, co-operative PvE shooter that combines Remedy's narrative expertise and action gameplay into an immersive multiplayer experience. The game is developed with the Unreal Engine for PC and console platforms. Remedy will develop and publish the game worldwide, excluding selected Asian markets, where Tencent will localize and publish the game.
Vanguard marks Remedy's first entry into Games-as-a-Service business model, executed by our top tier team of free-to-play experts. We are building something new and exciting for co-operative multiplayer space, on top of Remedy's strengths.
Remedy funding and developing the PC and console game. Tencent is localizing that game for Asia and making a mobile version.
For Honor feels like such a mechanically deep big budget game that I have to assume Ubisoft doesn't know they develop it.
Deep Rock Galactic is super fun with even just one other person to play with. It's hilarious with fun, but not particularly deep, gameplay. End-game is trying to get "mods" for your weapons that will change how they function.
By s y hulud Go To PostIs it a rogue likeNo.
You use a mission terminal that lists all the available missions and their characteristics to pick a mission to go on. You get in your drop pod and it takes you to a randomly generated world/level for that mission. You complete the objectives and harvest resources, make it back to the drop pod, and start the loop again.
Between missions, you spend your gathered resources to unlock different upgrades and mods for your weapons, unlock new weapons, change perks (character traits), change classes, unlock new beers that can grant buffs before a mission, and unlock a million different cosmetics.
Everything you get/unlock is permanent.
Persona Strikers is a good tiiiiime
a fair warning to Musou boys again, approaching it like one is instant death. It's very much Persona, and at least 35% of it is a thicc layer of story.
you'll read. you'll buff. you'll debuff. you'll JRPG

It's level with Blackout as my favourite, but Blackout obviously got left behind when Warzone released

PUBG launch was peak BR. Very fun and then very tense and never very complicated.
BRs are so utterly rife with feature bloat its hard to keep up fully with more than 1 tho. Basically the MMOs of the 00s.

3 hours in and only completed 2 missions in Ready or Not. Took far too many attempts clearing the meth house. The gas station was easy in comparison.
Attempted the hotel but got sloppy half way through. Booted a door in expecting an empty room and got put down instantly by a guy behind it. Unpleasant to say the least.

I tried some Apex but got bored. Also a bit pissy when I couldn't find the good shit and then just spent 20 minutes in a game only for it to end in like 2 seconds of bullshit. I'd rather just play a real team slayer for 20 odd minutes then just wander around waiting to get sniped.

Got Modern Warfare on sale(PS4 version) and I’m just here counting the crashes and black screens and frame drop slide show fuckery when the binoculars are used, not to mention the whole “installation suspended”. Feels like I’m back to the good old PC days, going through forums trying to find a solution to this mess. I’m impressed, it’s unplayable.
That sound though.
