The multiplayer aspect where you can be the villain in someone else's campaign is neat, but I dunno if you'd call it a creative risk

I guess the risk he's referring to making an AAA budget game that's essentially a non linear puzzle game wrapped inside a sandbox FPS that largely leaves discovering the solution to said puzzle completely up to the player. There are 4 levels, 4 times of day per level and it's entirely up to you to investigate every level in whatever order or fashion you wish to figure out said puzzle.
It's not that much of a risk in the context of the entire industry as it's a mix of games that have done parts of it before(it's part Outer Wilds, part Hitman, part Dishonored) but in the context of AAA titles? I'd say it's risky for sure. If this were your usual big budget title, the game would play out extremely linearly with the game gripping your hand, taking you from one level to the next, you would find out how to solve the puzzle in a cinematic cutscene and the game would save your progress with every footstep. Games that deviate even a little from the norm within that space are rare and often fail commercially(every single Arkane game, The Last Guardian,

Played a little bit of deathloop, but too late to really get into it at this time. a lot of kind of shitty textures, but it does have a decent overall look. dual sense support on pc works surprisingly well, but yeah, probably starting up on keyboard and mouse tomorrow. depends on how good i find the feedback on the dual sense i guess.

By s y Go To Postthanks for explaining.I guess in context, sure, they aren't putting out non-handholdy puzzle games on a AAA level very often

But out of context, any talk about "creative risks" when you're making a multiplayer fps may be up for nuanced debate
edit: also
an AAA budget gameI've been hitherto pronouncing this like the insurance company and now I'm worried

Can't wait for my Gamepass investment to pay off in exactly one year. By then all the bugs will be patched too. What a time to be alive.

By DiPro Go To PostHalo SP nekst? No way. They already pushed co-op and forge to make December. It's coming out.
I'm wondering if EA pushes Battlefield back. They've been awfully radio silent about a game that's supposed to launch in 30 days.

Nvidia says the leak is real but the games are speculative for testing purposes.

Content creators apparently got to play it yesterday and the embargo for their videos is being lifted on Monday.
think nvidia is just covering its ass but also wouldnt expect every single game on the list to be coming to pc either
By Smokey Go To PostI was posting saying the solution needs to become final so that I can use it, I wasn’t looking for Sony PR to tell me to delete games from their machine.

supposedly you have to disable gsync/freesync and enable Vsync ingame at or half of your screens refresh-rate. Basically it's a choice between unplayable or laggy.

Deathloop’s gunplay and overall controls are a big step up from Dishonored. Humor is great too. I’m trash at stealth though. Just too impatient lmao.

Not sure why he’d offer that when the REAL solution is just to delete your games off this box, the one where he wants every last $$$ out of his users
I do think the PS5 approach to slapping whatever compatible SSD in the system is better than the proprietary solution the Series consoles use. Just don’t understand why it’s taken Sony nearly a year to implement it.
