Cyberpunk sucks, but it achieved something that is much more worthwhile exploring, exposing just how terrible gaming reviews, influencers and personalities are and have been for some time now.

By Eternity Go To PostCyberpunk sucks, but it achieved something that is much more worthwhile exploring, exposing just how terrible gaming reviews, influencers and personalities are and have been for some time now. This is true, and honestly all the noise around the game’s release has made me not want it at all anymore.
Figured it out, with all three weapons. Hell, you even have enough time to take a hit, recover, and still defend. I just need a guaranteed kill, off of whatever.
Finished The Pathless with around 12 hours. It was good, but not as good as the initial two hours suggested it could've been. It really is the makeup of those two introductory hours stretched over ten - that is, if you want to bother with finding and completing all the puzzles / shrines, otherwise it's more like a 6h game. That's how I'd recommend most people go about playing it to maximize their enjoyment.
I completed them all, because the upgrades you get for doing so are actually pretty nifty and make traversing a breeze, plus it doesn't take a whole lot of time. The puzzles are rather basic and just slight variations on a theme, but there's enough there to keep you going with half your brain engaged. Thankfully the pacing is pretty spot on, with a change of scenery and boss battles every couple of hours.
Quite enjoyed fighting those mythical beasts, some more than others. There's not much more to it that your standard avoid attack, shoot weak spot though, wrapped up in gorgeous visuals and silky animation. It's not particularly challenging, almost like - and this goes for the game in general - Giant Squid didn't want to risk alienating the people expecting another Abzû or Journey. A real shame, because the game's core mechanics are actually really solid and lend themselves to a much more demanding experience.
The thing from trailers where you shoot those markers sprinkled throughout the world to gain bursts of speed is a perfect example. It could've been the heart of the game, something you'd have to master to get yourself to high places and otherwise inaccessible spots, proper platforming / speed-running stuff ... instead it ends up being almost an afterthought, because your hawk companion takes care of all your traversal needs.
Overall it was short and sweet, just not as memorable as some of the other games of its ilk and with squandered potential. Not a must play, but I have no problems recommending it to those looking for a short, downsized BOTW-like journey with the right amount of spiritual string-pulling.
The reviewer raises some good points, but "got bored within the first hour" means he / she either really, really doesn't like this sort of games or got into it begging to be bored. It's a solid little game.

By Bungie Go To PostI remember seeing a two star review on the Guardian website which put me off it. Same thing happened with The Falconeer. The good thing about these sort of games is that at some point Epic will probably give them away for free, so unless they’re worth getting immediately you can just wait and try them out laterhttps://www.theguardian.com/games/2020/nov/11/the-pathless-review

Immortals is a 7/10 game, or 5/10, depending how much you like puzzles.
I'm enjoying it, but there's really nothing special about it. I recommend it if anyone's looking for a game to pass the time once it gets to 20 dollars though.

I refuse to reward Ubisoft for such idiotic naming conventions.
such a bad name. So forgettably awful.

I've heard suprisingly good things from people (outside of here) whose opinion I value. Might just get it when it drops to 20 merkels, yeah.

By Zabojnik Go To PostHow far in are you?I've done most of the vaults, and the main missions for 3 of the 4 gods. Just need to finish Athena's before I get to the end game.

I just got it cause it was 30 Biden’s. It is inspired by a bunch of mediocre games so I am not expecting much but not like there are many options on these new consoles
By DY_nasty Go To PostElysium is really the build check of the game. Swords are kinda dependent on what you come across when it comes to hammers too. May want to consider stuff that does on hit effects or leaves lingering damage rather going for chunky damage straight up.You're absolutely right on the build being crucial. I cleared Hades with some string lightning buffs. A straight up damage increase but with a chain lightning effect that did damage to everyone. My last few runs have been spent trying to get a Duo Boon. And by Elysium my build was all over the place. Might go for. Dionysus poison build from now on.
You can always check the requirements for boons and duo boons in the catalogue thing mid-run or at the selection screen. If you're ever shooting for something specifically, may want to try leaning on the keepsakes a bit more to guide your build and narrow the odds more.
The sword pretty much demands a solid build compared to other weapons. I can bullshit a bow or shield run all day but swords? Nah. I'm checking the catalogue at every room and rerolling options regularly.
When you're starting out any build that does wall damage ends up being super powerful up until Hades, especially in final rooms. At that point (Hades) having as many dashes as possible is key.
That can change as you mess with the pacts, but those Poseidon boons can help close some of the later rooms in a second

Ok, so I ventured up north In Valhalla. Fucking hell, this is way too much. Areas I haven’t even came close to getting there.
I know I said the same about the last Assassins Creed, but why are these games so damn big?
Who the fuck asks for more and more?
I am really curious about the the percentage of people who actually finish this game.
Having said that, finished the treasure of Britain sidequest and got Excalibur. Damn this sword is cool looking.

Clearing dungeons on the first try in Persona 4G is a pain in the ass. Kanji is destroying me, thx Josuke and your stupid electric weakness -_-

crossing into the canyon areas and seeing the thunderjaws was pretty cool. same with the stealth jaguars in the forest.
honestly both were as good/bad as each other. Not gonna bother with their sequels
I dunno it's hard to recommend a game like Death Stranding though, plenty of people will enjoy Horizon.
