By Kibner Go To PostI think it is still promise more than production but he is continuing to improve and is on the trajectory to eventually be good.
He's stopped fouling every five seconds, at least.
I watched him tonight cause he was on my fantasy team and he made Drummond look like Shaq. He also has bad hands from what I could see can't secure rebounds in traffic, looks like your standard skinny athletic big man that can't really do anything on offense and his defense was really overrated.

His athleticism is far from standard though. You're right about securing rebounds in traffic that shit is annoying.

Caruso has improved his shooting so much.
This team is probably better than last year, just need a defensive center

Didn't most of y'all go ahead and put him into the HOF? Same with Caruso and a bunch of other damn scrubs over the years?
By Doomsayer Go To PostCaruso has improved his shooting so much.Funny thing is stat wise the defense is currently better than last year. From the Athletic. Though depth wise I do think the last roster spot should go to a center since there's enough depth at the other positions. Also it's pretty crazy seeing Caruso and KCP be reliable shooters from deep so far.

Last season, the Lakers allowed the fifth-lowest field-goal percentage in the restricted area (60.9 percent). Extend that out to five feet, the general area you’d consider to involve protecting the rim, and they were fourth in the league (58.9 percent).
This season, the Lakers rank eighth in field-goal percentage allowed in the restricted area (60.0 percent) and 10th in field-goal percentage allowed within five feet (58.8 percent). Both percentages are actually better this season, despite ranking slightly lower league-wide.
When Rob couldn't dominate Miles/PJ I knew he was fake news. Boucher? Now that lad properly obliterated us.
By n8 dogg Go To PostI just found out the timberwolves are in the western conference lmaoGo ahead and check where Memphis and New Orleans are.
By Branduil Go To PostGo ahead and check where Memphis and New Orleans are.TBF Memphis was in Vancouver at one point
By RATHasReturned Go To PostLeBron is leaving Sprite (Coca Cola) for Mountain Dew (Pepsico). Devastating.
Just burned my LeBron Coca Cola poster.
By blackace Go To PostTBF Memphis was in Vancouver at one pointWhen the expansion to Seattle and Vancouver/Las Vegas happens I'm guessing Minny will get moved east in the resulting realignment. That should also give them the opportunity to unfuck the geographic mess that is the "Northwest" division.
It feels to me like the Zion hype completely disappeared. I haven't heard or seen one highlight from him this season.

By Doomsayer Go To PostHopefully Noel hits the buyout market and the Lakers grab him. That's my fanfic scenario at least.
Don't see the Knicks holding on to him
Hmm, Nets could really use Noel.
Chris Herring on Shaq calling Jokić Russian: "It's always been treated as this endearing quality to not know how to pronounce these guys' names (literal MVP winners), or not know what countries they're from (MVP candidates), or not know which teams they play for... It's really not that funny, tho."
This has always bothered me. Everytime a foreigner comes into the nba, analyst and fans rush to create a nickname so they don't have to learn how to say their name. It's so disrespectful. Doesn't matter if they're asian, african, european or whatever nobody bothers to learn their names if they aren't easy. Heck even if they are easy they can't do it.
I hate Joe Rogan with a passion but this dude actually makes an effort learning all the names of the UFC fighters and tries to pronounce them correctly and if this idiot can do it then smarter people should be able to aswell, especially if it is your job.

There was a 20 minute conversation on the Nets-Nuggets game the other day about how to pronounce Hartenstein. Whoever the female commentator was, she was like ‘nah I don’t believe that’s how you pronounce it’ when she was told numerous times.
By DiPro Go To PostHe's german-american so i don't actually know which pronounciation he prefers.
The main commentator said he heard Hartenstein pronounce it himself in a video Harten-schtyne and thr co-commentator was like ‘nah i don’t believe that’s how you say it’
By DiPro Go To PostIt feels to me like the Zion hype completely disappeared. I haven't heard or seen one highlight from him this season.People still tune into his games at record numbers. 🤷♂️
When Giannis was a rookie, the Bucks (iirc) made a video of him trying to teach fans how to pronounce his name. It was how I learned to say it, at least.
By DiPro Go To PostHawks are 1-5 since Collins said they aren't a joke and a serious east contender.
By blackace Go To PostBelieve it when I see itExpansion will happen within the next five years. The owners all want to recoup the lost money from the bubble and this year and the easiest way is through expansion fees. They'll take the short term money over losing a cut of the national TV contracts.
I think it'll be Seattle and Vancouver.

Lakers will easily win champ from what I’ve seen so far. They just have too many weapons and the best offensive and defensive player in the league. Haven’t even got Gasol and Caruso in that pic above and every time I see Caruso he’s banging in 3s.

You're going to start to see star players up their scoring and efficiency and role players regress to the mean around 20 games in. That's when the season is the most competitive and you get a better idea who the real contenders are and aren't.

Yeah, it has still looked great, just inconsistent. Some games Gasol looks like an anchor and other times he looks like he's held down by one. 0 lateral movement.
We haven't really faced anyone who can exploit Trez yet. Pels did it a bit yesterday when we had that awful big pairing of Keef and Trez. Can't run that in the playoffs. Vogel is still doing some tinkering with the lineup, like THT got only garbage time minutes last night.
The nba not cancelling the Grizzlies Sixers game yet is dumb. Grizzlies were in direct contact with positive players and shouldn’t be playing. They could have called it off yesterday but didn’t so instead the sixers are in Memphis adding unnecessary travel (and risks) to them. Silver please get your shit together.

They will trudge through this season and hope it's all fine by the playoffs because they won't give up the TV money.
They will almost certainly cancel the Wolves' games for the next week at least, but they won't do so until the very last possible second. It's an embarrassing naked cash grab.

remember how the only team that could take the lakers past 5 games was the 4th seed in the east
