By rodeoclown Go To PostInsanity. My god.
Orlando spending money like nothing out here.
Isaac has only played 136 games in three years and isn't gonna play this season, but here's $20m per.
By diehard Go To Postyall had the audacity to laugh at Christian Wood's 3/$41yeah, we still going to laugh at that
By RATHasReturned Go To PostKennard should actually be playable in the playoffs.
By Kibner Go To PostKennard should actually be playable in the playoffs.we might never know
That seems like a lot of money for Derrick White, but it's the Spurs, so he'll be an all-star in two years or something.
By domino Go To PostDY your boy kinda slidin on this
I'd waive him or trade him for a 2nd just cause of this
I never watched Orlando play so looking at these stats I'm really not sure how this guy got 20 mil a year.

spectacular defensive player with some upside on offense
quite injury prone however

By DY_nasty Go To Postis somebody gonna free aaron gordon this year or nahwhere do you think he would have a chance to succeed?
By blackace Go To Postwhere do you think he would have a chance to succeed?Gordon on the Hawks would be fun.
By DY_nasty Go To Postis somebody gonna free aaron gordon this year or nahGod I would love him on the Mavs.
By Branduil Go To PostGod I would love him on the Mavs. Was kind of thinking Mavs, or even GS would be a good fit for him
I thought we would try to grab him at some point but it seems like Jones doesn't want to pull the trigger. I don't blame him since I don't think Gordon gets us anywhere for the money he'd want/assets you'd lose. He'd be a better fit for like Dallas where Luka could make him that third guy.
In a change from his past statements on the topic of expansion, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Monday afternoon that the league has looked at its analysis of the ramifications of expanding beyond 30 teams.Funny how expansion is now on the table after the bubble year and a season without fans coming up. There's no way this isn't Seattle.
"I think I've always said that it's sort of the manifest destiny of the league that you expand at some point," Silver said during his annual preseason availability with reporters. "I'd say it's caused us to maybe dust off some of the analyses on the economic and competitive impacts of expansion. We've been putting a little bit more time into it than we were pre-pandemic. But certainly not to the point that expansion is on the front burner."
but how will the league prey on 2/3 the league if there is no threat to move the team to Seattle if they don't get what they want ?
By jjasper Go To Postbut how will the league prey on 2/3 the league if there is no threat to move the team to Seattle if they don't get what they want ?There's other cities with newish arenas they can threaten to move to like Kansas City and Las Vegas. The grift will never end.
The league obviously just wants the expansion fees. The NHL just got $500m from Las Vegas and $650m Seattle and the NBA is way bigger than hockey and can command more. It wouldn't shock me to see the NBA get close to a billion for expansion.
Well they will probably add 2 so I guess Seattle and Las Vegas and then move 2 out of memphis Minnesota, and New Orleans to the east and redo/abolish divisions
There is also Kentucky and I think some arena in Maryland(?) or thereabouts that has also been angling for a pro team.

Cuban was on BS the other day talking about 2-3 billion for a fee if I understood him right. He wasn't hearing anything under a billion.
By DY_nasty Go To PostI get Seattle, but I'm not sure where another East coast team would be…Think the only one that would make sense would be Louisville. There's other east coast cities with buildings like Pittsburgh or Tampa, but I don't know that the NBA would go there.
So just so I know for the banter, who does everyone in here support?
