By Vini.lad Go To PostI don't remember it well enough, but doesn't the Leipzig X Tottenham tie still have the return leg to be played?
Naw Tottenham are out.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostHow is Joao Felix these days?Currently injured. Not having the greatest season, 6 goals and 1 assist in 26 league games, usually substituted first in most matches.
Spanish press have been going hard on him, calling him talented but way too selfish, claiming that many times he tries to do it all himself instead of passing the ball to an open team mate.
Atlético was clearly the wrong choice for Felix, he is talented and can pull out a moment of magic out of nowhere but he isn't a hard worker, the type of player to get back and defend.
Eriksen was benched for a 35 y/o btw
normally you can't get anything outta Conte about his players so the media just goes to Marotta and he basically said we expected more from him lmao

I love how volatile everything is at Inter, no matter the management. Endless source of entertainment.
By Xpike Go To PostI'd say PSG is winning it all but they haven't played a match since MarchDon't forget that they also lost two players. Cavani didn't extend till August for the CL games and Meunier is at Dortmund now.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostHow is Joao Felix these days?Should have stayed or gone to Dortmund.
Genuinely how does anybody not think Bayern aren't favourites to win the Champions League?
They have the world's best striker who's just had the best season of his life scoring 50 goals which is miles ahead of everybody else.
They also have Muller who's the leading assist maker in europe.
Alphonso Davies is probably now the world's best left back.
Kimmich, Gnabry & Thiago are all top 10 in the world for their positions.
Neuer is still one of the top keepers in the world.
They comfortably won the domestic double.
They've already smashed Chelsea & Spurs.
Almost every other team left in the Champions League is either playing poorly or are unproven at that level.

Our fixture against LASK is all but over so we can rest players for the second leg which could be important.
Pretty much figured City would skate.
Good thing we control our own destiny and arent dropping any more points.

By Daz Go To PostDid you all really think there was going to be any kind of justice?I mean.. in that scenario, City is getting justice against UEFA...
By Laboured Go To PostDidn't realise City were only 1-2 ahead of RM. That game's more interesting than I'd first thought.
Ramos won't be playing, City's going through 100%
By Vini.lad Go To PostWelp, RIP lester's spot then.
So, If City gets the ban, 6th place will be the only Europa spot?
Think that depends on them winning the FA Cup? Maybe I’m wrong. Normally 5th gets EL and the winners of FA Cup and Carabao do. But seeing as City win all of them all the fucking time, 6th and 7th have been getting it too. So I’d assume whoever finishes 5th and 6th do at this point, and 7th will again if anyone who finishes in a Europe position wins the FA.
Wikipedia has clarified:
Since the 4 semi-finalists of the FA Cup are currently qualified for European competitions by league position, the spot given to the FA Cup winners (Europa League group stage) would be passed to the sixth-placed team and the spot given to the League Cup winners (Europa League second qualifying round) would be passed to the seventh-placed team. If the ban on Manchester City entering European football is upheld, the spots would be passed to the seventh-placed (FA Cup spot) and eighth-placed (EFL Cup spot) teams, respectively.
^ Since the winners of the EFL Cup, Manchester City, are banned from European football for next season (subject to an ongoing appeal process at CAS), the spot given to the EFL Cup winners (Europa League second qualifying round) would be passed to the seventh-placed team. As Manchester City would also be stripped of the European place they would currently be guaranteed by league placing, the EFL Cup spot would go to the eighth-placed league team.
City’s ban could be huge for Arse/Spurs/Sheff/Burnley too.
By Meier Go To PostI mean.. in that scenario, City is getting justice against UEFA…lol fucking hell. Always playing the victim, smh.

Not gonna get my hopes up too much but…… (it's the hope that kills)
Even when we are doing our best to stay away from the competition, most likely we will end up there again...

How would a little known British journo get the scoop on a CAS judgment? Unless he's getting from City themselves, who have insisted all along that they're definitely going to be exonerated

Exactly what I was thinking :lol

Yeah, idk how much of a break we have from a possible FA Cup final to 5 August. Might just want to keep the momentum up and then use all 5 subs.
Edit: And we have a 5 day break until the QFs anyways.
By sohois Go To PostHow would a little known British journo get the scoop on a CAS judgment? Unless he's getting from City themselves, who have insisted all along that they're definitely going to be exoneratedI mean, honestly, this is probably the case. And that's why I'm not -too- hopeful yet. It certainly echoes Pep's comments about how the club are confident they'll be exonerated. Cheeseman did the games for BBC Radio Manchester for something like 30+ years so he's got a lot of ties to the club.
You can see a very drunk me somehow pulling it together when talking to him 2 summers ago here in the US. I walked home a few miles to the place I was staying much later that night and it was an experience.

Wonder if Zidane tries a 3 in the back lineup today, considering Ramos,Carvajal and Marcelo are out.
Also Hazard shouldn't have to play, not reason to risk him.

Sevilla is in better form than Roma, we should make it too, Inter should beat Neverkusen (which I guess means they might not, lol), I'm taking Shaktar over Basel just because.
Sevilla v United

Sevilla could easily beat us but we’ll be favourites.
Imagine Lukaku doing us in the final. Would be devastating.

With Ramos I would certainly been more optimistic, without him I'm doubtful. Though it's gonna be a great game, we're doing well defensively. TBO is the best keeper in the world this season.
are people still pretending ramos is good
if he would play he'd just get a red and give us an easy win
