That's only because he'd have to lower his wages tbf.
I swear to God, if Chelsea buy all these attackers but don't get a CB, they're mad. I know there's a long time left until the new transfer window closes, but they've only got x amount of funds surely.

The squad needs trimming, and the Sky Sports commentary was yesterday theorising that players like Jorginho were being gently managed to an exit from the club.
Whether that's true or not, it's the only way I can see us being able to also afford defensive reinforcements. Yesterday, among with many other examples, proved that we need them. I mean, fucking Benteke scored.

Can he play in goal?
World football’s law-makers are set to extend the temporary rule allowing teams to make five substitutes in a game, rather than three, for all of next season.Think that's a very bad idea.
By Punished* Go To PostThink that's a very bad idea.if it was up to me I'd eliminate all subs for Sarri
I have a worldclass CB for Chelsea on offer. His name is Kik Pierie, I can bring him to the airport if needed.
Lol that's bullshit. We have 1,3 million followers on Twitter. You're not gonna tell me that more of half of them are 'fake' lol.
By Laboured Go To PostI think that 15% isn't even that accurate because it includes Clegg
I'm mostly curious how they labeled followers as fake. You're not gonna tell me a team of people actually clicked on millions and millions of twitter profiles for all these clubs to investigate if that account is fake or real.
I know for us our social media presence grew significantly during our successfull CL season. A lot of the videos the social media team made in the run up towards a big game and afterwards went viral. The last couple of years our social media department has been on fire, so many goose bumps vids. But all in all we're still very small internationally. Even clubs like Roma have more followers on social media than we do. We dwarf the Dutch clubs though online, PSV and Feyenoord haven't even cracked 500K yet.

Nah, not really. Just curious about the data since it doesn't really make sense to me. As I mentioned we don't really have huge following online, we have less followers than small clubs like Roma and Napoli. So from that perspective these numbers don't really add up for me.
Other than that it's not very interesting anways, social media following doesn't win you trophies. Might help sponsor contracts a bit though, the bigger the following the more money companies will offer to be a part of our brand. Our board has been performing really well over the years reeling in sponsor contracts trying to slowly close the financial gap a bit. Since our TV revenue will never come close to the numbers the big leagues generate we have to be creative.

Morning, lads. I hear Dier has received a four game ban and £40k for his antics against the Norwich fan.

By bacon Go To PostWhat do you mean with "even clubs like Roma" lmao
Social media presence is something else than the current situation on the pitch, or how much money you have etc. AC Milan has been shit for many years but they still dwarf clubs like Napoli and Roma online solely based on their huge history. When you think of Serie A as an outsider/neutral viewer AC Milan, Juve and Inter will most likely be the first clubs that come to mind for most people. Roma and Napoli are big clubs in Italy, just not that much abroad. With the likes of Maradonna and Totti they of course had some high profile players in their history. And they had their fair share of success troughout the years. But there's never been a time in which they dominated Serie A (or the CL for that matter) as the other three. So that's what I mean by 'small clubs'.
Other than that, if fake followers help generating money for the club I'm all for it.

Trying to fight a fan is probably viewed as more unusual and therefore wrong than another player tbf
Haha, if the above post doesn't make sense I don't know anymore guys. Am I really saying something weird when I say Napoli and Roma just aren't big clubs internationally?
And yes, my first post was defensive and didn't add anything to the conversation. But the ones afterwards I thought trough and I can assure you are not part of any meltdown xD

By Linius Go To PostIf Ake goes to United it probably won't be for more than adding depth to the squad I imagine?
I don't think we need him, or should go for him. He's no better than what we already have.
Wouldn't say no to getting him for £15-20m I guess, provided we're selling Smalling and Jones, but I don't think he's necessarily better than Lindelof and Bailly.
By Linius Go To PostIf Ake goes to United it probably won't be for more than adding depth to the squad I imagine?Yeah, I think so. Might potentially challenge Lindelof for a starting spot. Smalling is probably going to make a permanent switch to Roma and Jones isn't good enough when he's actually fit to play which is rare enough these days. And who knows what to make of Bailly. In terms of athleticism he's the best in the squad. But he's constantly injured and makes silly mistakes too often.
Sounds like Ake also has a tough choice to make if United make a move. Either you go and fight for a spot among the XI or you go to a club that actually needs you. At his age he should be starting games weekly. Especially if he wants a spot in the national squad for the Euros next summer.

There's PL clubs he'd improve; Everton should probably look at him as an alternative to someone like Stones, as they've only got three CBs as it is. Saints or Newcastle would improve with him there, but he isn't good enough to start for the best teams in the league. Arsenal could probably do alright with him there; he and Saliba flanking Luiz might be decent enough.
Re: Arsenal, been really impressed every time I've seen Tierney post-lockdown. Imagine the two best left-backs in the league being Scottish, incredible.
Yeah I imagined as much. From Bournemouth to United is a big step. Plenty of clubs in between.
Probably just some wild rumour but we're being linked to Hojberg all of a sudden. Considering Spurs is also in for him I don't imagine we have a real shot here financially, but how good is he?
