By Meier Go To PostGood post. Lilo & Stitch is an all-timer.Who?
A lovely goal and three assists for Berardi.
Berardi makes me so depressed. 14 goals and 10 assists despite missing 7 games this season. Really didn't do much the previous four seasons, but looks like De Zerbi has him playing at a level comparable to when he first appeared in Serie A.
Will turn 26 on Saturday. Would still love to see him at Juve instead of Bernardeschi who has never really developed his finishing touch. he really does need to move on to continue his progression. Hopefully, the past season will make the bigger clubs reevaluate him. He is in an instant upgrade for Inter over Candreva.
By Hitch Go To PostWish Sterling had ended up worse than him :(
Hahaha.
According to my quick analyze, Berardi has a better game to goal and assist ratio than Sterling.
By Punished* Go To PostWhy does tifo persist with those stupid drawings?
Because you instantly know it is him.
And I think they look alright.

Gotta fill that quota

Lets go Txiki!!!
for all the money pep has spent on his defence, it sure is filled with garbage players.
ake would be an immediate starter.

By Cleff Go To PostI don't think Ake would start for City. Good to have strength in depth I suppose.
Ake will start over Otamendi, surely.
You'd have to imagine he will be on less money than Stones too.
Be interesting to see if Stones goes this summer, I think he may.
By Freewheelin Go To PostAke could play in midfield too, says his favourite position is in midfieldFreewilly is Pep.
By Scum Go To PostFreewilly is Pep.

Pep's thoughts are if you can't get the ball you can't trouble us aerially.
They could save so much money if they got John Stones to work on his left foot every week in training. He barely plays, so you don’t risk much, and I reckon after a year he would be able to do it. Doesn’t need to be able to play 50 yard passes - because I don’t think Ake is doing that sort of thing very often - just receive it and give it on your left to the same standard as your right. It’s not rocket science.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostYes, Shanks.
Hopefully, the past season will make the bigger clubs reevaluate him. He is in an instant upgrade for Milan over Saelemaekers.
Will be interesting to see how Ake does but not sure he's the one to partner Laporte.
Sounds like we want to sell Sanchez before moving on with signing anyone.

But Pep would then have to work on improving a player rather than just spending money to fix a solvable problem.
By Elliott Go To PostYes, Shanks.
Was gonna say Milan but forgot who played there haha.
Napoli should be in for him as I think Callejon is a free agent.
Haven't read it - but presume he means guaranteed installments and not performance-related add ons?
Time will tell, I guess.

Glad we’re looking to get it done early doors. Can’t fucking stand the way we negotiate comparatively to clubs around us. When Chelsea are signing two before the season ends, when City are signing two in two days, when Liverpool are buying van Dijk and Keita miles in advance, it’s galling always having to wait until fucking deadline day. Get this done, focus on our other targets and outgoings.

At least you aren't Arsenal.

Truly a shame. But makes alot more sense to get two players as Sancho replacement now. One specific for the wing and one that can play more positions.
By Killer7 Go To PostWill be interesting to see how Ake does but not sure he's the one to partner Laporte. He's a Laporte back-up and Stones replacement in terms of being HG, doubt they'll play together much. We'll ship off Otamendi as well and replace him with a non-HG player.. hopefully Koulibaly. That would mean Laporte and him as first choice, Garcia and Ake as second choice presumably (not necessarily always playing together). That aerial duel stat above is interesting but not too surprising since they're both pretty short for CBs. Definitely something City would need to consider when going up against bruisers.

It’s not rocket science. This is a nice idea on paper but Stones hasn't shown any growth or improvement at all, in any capacity, in 4 years. I don't have much confidence he could develop into a capable or even semi-capable both-footed player at this point in his career. A shame but he just hasn't been anywhere near the standard. Will be sold this summer surely as I can't imagine City wanting to give him a new contract.
Signing some lad who can't get a contract at Millwall.
We did this last summer and got the worst right back I've ever seen at Sunderland in Conor McLaughlin. Even worse than Gareth Hall... who at least can say he was shit in the Premier League, not League 1.
My expectations are low and I am still underwhelmed.

By domino Go To Postdidnt realize Stones is only 26. where does he land?Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked. Probably will be a lot of interested clubs but presumably wanting to stay on a similar contract might limit things.
busted back down to Everton?
