Vitória de Setúbal and Desportivo das Aves have been denied a professional license by the Portuguese league and have been relegated to the third tier of Portuguese football.
Portimonense and Cova da Piedade will stay on the first and second division.
Desportivo das Aves was already in a terrible situation and this only makes it worse but it's going to be a big shock for Setúbal.
They are the 5th club with more seasons on the Portuguese top flight (70, only behind the big 3 and Guimarães).

By Vini.lad Go To PostRicharlison is already PL proven, young and talented mate. Imagine what he can do on a proper good side.My point was that I don't think they'll be able to sell him with what they'd expect. They could maybe get £70m like I said, but I don't think any PL club will even want to pay that. He's not worth it. He needs a really big season and he's just not had one yet. 13 goals isn't enough to expect a huge fee like that -- Big Rom scored 25 in the season before he was sold. My guess is he'll be at Everton for at least 2 more years and then will be sold for £40-50m.
There's no way Everton sell him for anything lower than 80m.
Happy for Brentford -- I hope they can get promoted.. all the others have been in and around the PL regularly in recent years while it's been around 75 years since Brentford were in the top flight I think.
By Laboured Go To PostGood analysis and this is basically what I thought from the start, that the rule change wouldn't really change much. The Big Club boogeyman stuff is just used as a cudgel to stop the game from adapting and improving.

brentford are way better than the rest of the shite in this playoff, way more goals scored, way less goals conceded. hoping they don't flop like leeds did last year.
Pjanic booked lol so this is his final league game in a Juve shirt.
so long and thanks for all the fish

By n8 dogg Go To PostBet you also like the Norwich badge ffsNo, awful. Terrible colors as well.
Well we tried but it was always going to tough against Brentford. Ah well one more year in the championship.
They deserved it thanks to their first half. We stunk until cooper chnaged for the second half. We never did expect to even be in the play offs though so it will be a good learning experience for the players.

Currently reading Billion Dollar Whale about the 1MDB scandal and Jho Low. Not relevant at all to football but thought it was funny that the Manchester City sheiks like Khaldoon Al Mubarak and Mansour frequently pop up in the book as contacts and allies of Low.

We both know you're getting Kai.
Honest question: why not go for Pope as a non-£50-80m option?
By Laboured Go To PostWe both know you're getting Kai.I’ve seen him mentioned often and I would be absolutely down for that. I’d prefer him to Onana but my #1 is still Rajkovic.
