Duncan is a clown.
Leicester's RB today -Justin looks really good. Would be suprised if he stays happy to play backup to Perreira.

I think we can all safely say it was a pretty shit season of footy overall
Hopefully next year will be better now that it seems the top 6 managers know what they need from the market

By domino Go To PostNah if Ole wants him then we need to get him. 20m be damned it does us no good just chilling in the bank
Ole did his job. Time for Woodward to do his. We gonna see this summer whether we’re trying to win or trying to make money
Yep, agreed. Can easy see us being 10th in Nov and sacking Ole because we’ve only signed Victor Moses.
By Grizzled Cola Go To PostIf we were to look at Matic cover who would you guys go for thats realistic?
Hopefully James Garner is the long-term goal, but we need someone who can play deep and is a progressive passer. I think ultimately Fred is too scatterdash and McTominay is too limited. In the Premier League, I’d absolutely love if we went for Ruben Neves (Wolves) but Douglas Luiz (Villa) has been good since the restart.
No idea who we’re linked with there though.
People are banging on about the final Premier League table but the only one that matters is the Bruno Fernandes table.
By Yurtlicious Go To PostArsenal finished 8th oh my
when was the last time they finished this low
Pre-Wenger m8.
Arteta’s a good coach. He’ll be undone in the end because Arsenal will refuse to spend.
Issue is that 6 clubs now need top 4 football every season. Can’t really expect Liverpool and City to drop precipitously for the next few seasons, so I guarantee you one of Mourinho, Lampard or Solskjaer are not in the job by the end of next season. Arteta will get a bit more time.
I see the top 4 being the same next season. Order might be different though.
Spurs and Arsenal ain’t spending enough to make up the ground
Liverpool wil come back to the pack. Chelsea United and City will make a big step

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson on the future of Wilfried Zaha: "It’s a dilemma for the club and for him if he is so set on leaving.
"We still like him very much, we can't make him like us. It’s obviously affected him because his form in the last few weeks has been quite poor considering what he is capable of doing. I don’t have an answer."
Don’t really see any obvious buyers in the PL, especially for the money he’ll cost. He’s absolutely a very good player, but not good enough to start at any of the top sides.

Wondered if Grealish would prefer Arsenal over rotating with Pogba and Bruno, and it's clear he would. Remains to be seen if Arsenal pull the trigger, but considering Ozil is their best creative player, you can argue it's more important than a defender for them. They technically already signed one of those anyway.

I think Spurs will be a lot more solid next season. Boring, but they’ll 100% challenge for top 4.
Arsenal... ultimately depends on how successful Saliba is and whether they get someone who can create, if Ozil isn’t in Arteta’s plans.
Lampard’s shown he knows how to coach an attack, and they’ve improved there pretty fucking well (with the caveat that they’ll be losing Willian, who I think is pretty underrated).
Would currently have us favourites for fourth.

Zaha fucked himself by signing a big contract for big money. If he wanted to use the club as a stepping stone (a club that depends on him to not go down), then don't commit to a 5 year, big boi contract and tough it out until you get your move.

Yep, think that would be a very smart move for all parties involved. Grealish would start every week, Arsenal would get a creator in their line-up. Saliba coming in will be helpful but whoever partners him is the question mark. Luiz cannot work in a 2. Maybe Mari is actually decent? Who fuckin knows.
I think if Arsenal could get Grealish and Ceballos in, that’ll be a good start.
I'd say a creative midfield player is more important than a defender, we already have Saliba coming on and Mari will be ready sometime next season.
Meanwhile we struggled to create chances against Aston Villa, most of our goals rely on Laca, Pepe, Auba or Saka making something out of nothing

By Grizzled Cola Go To PostHavent been checking much but are we linked heavily with anyone else other than Sancho? Or any positions in particular?Grealish, VDB, a lot of CBs... and a couple of LB names that I can't remember right now.

wait so Brendan says their plan was to get to the last water break and then go all out for The last 20
wtf. Why not come after us from the get go. You know we’d brick it if we conceded early

By Grizzled Cola Go To PostA rotation CB or starter?Well we've been linked to clear starters in Koulibaly (naturally) and Upamecano. Also talk of interesting players like Gabriel from Lille, Pau Torres, Joe Rodon who probably wouldn't get the immediate nod over Lindelof.

Haven’t watched lots of Villa, but don’t think he’s that special. Grealish, Luiz, Konsa and Mings their best from what I’ve seen this year.
Yeah where tf are the predictions? I wonder who here had us finishing top four. Can’t have been many
Really happy to make top 4. Was absolutely bricking it this morning, but we played well and Wolves didn't turn up.
I think I'll give it a week or two before assessing the season wholly, but getting CL football is a good achievement for Lampard, and I would have taken it with enthusiasm at the start of the season.
I think we deserved it as well, despite the obvious issues that exist.

By R436 Go To PostReally happy to make top 4. Was absolutely bricking it this morning, but we played well and Wolves didn't turn up.I am ecstatic with how the season went especially if we beat Arsenal in the final. Losing Hazard, transfer ban, youth renaissance, finishing fourth, and the deluge of top drawer players coming in has me buzzing. Think Lampard has done excellent all things considered.

I would buy Max Aarons for the fuck of it. He's a technical player who is Brandon Williams' age. Norwich will sell cheap. I feel like I'm being harsh and dumb as AWB cost a lot. He's a decent player as his defense has been great for most of the season. Our attack suffers with him though and if Ole really wants to play out from the back, it doesn't make sense to have him be a key outlet. It's like negating the whole point of forcing Smalling out.
