By blackace Go To PostHow did you do that? He is John Wall with funny hairThat's an insult to John Wall. He got more in common with Brandon Jennings if anything...
By DY_nasty Go To PostThat's an insult to John Wall. He got more in common with Brandon Jennings if anything…wow, this level of hate...
By diehard Go To Postwow, this level of hate…But I'm not wrong
By knux-future Go To PostDY did not take a chance to hate on John Wall…thats how you know its realI am still to stunned to reply tbh
Early Brandon Jennings wasn't even that bad. Check the numbers, it's not outrageous. Fox always been at that level as a prospect.
Jennings was very inefficient... his 3rd year was pretty much his peak
Maybe if he didn't blow his shit up he'd continue to trend upwards tho

By linsivvi Go To PostThe Blazers are wasting the best years of Lillard.sure his pockets disagree
By Branduil Go To PostIt's kinda dope...like we watching the Kibner years of basketball
What the hell is this court. I thought something was wrong with the arena lighting at first.
It makes the home team look like the faceless goons that the protagonist away team will undoubtedly vanquish.
By Kibner Go To PostIt makes the home team look like the faceless goons that the protagonist away team will undoubtedly vanquish.you know you are hoping for scoops and 15 foot hooks on the low
By Kawhic Go To PostTeam in the trash NFL being trash. 🤷♂️
what is this kibner.
By blackace Go To Postyou know you are hoping for scoops and 15 foot hooks on the lowOne of the reasons I like Zion is that his contested layup is a wrap-around scoop shot.
By Branduil Go To PostI thought the same thing.

Then I was like.....that's kinda dope
It's really dope if you're in purple and gold. The point of a court like that should be to make colors pop. It also seems like they understand this. Like the center of the court and the Barclays Center Logo. The color being on the side of the home jerseys isn't enough for the effect though.

Clearly whoever designed their court and jerseys didn't.
That Brooklyn court makes the games look like Pleasantville. It's obnoxious. Extremely hard to keep up with what is happening.
By DY_nasty Go To Posti just want real HD broadcasts :/
This makes me dream of 4K broadcasts seem unrealistic.
By Fenderputty Go To PostThis makes me dream of 4K broadcasts seem unrealistic.WWE is gonna have VR and HD before NBA does
By Fenderputty Go To PostThis makes me dream of 4K broadcasts seem unrealistic.IIRC, many of the broadcasts are already using cameras capable of it but the production trucks aren't setup to process and transmit that high quality of a feed.
By DY_nasty Go To PostWWE is gonna have VR and HD before NBA doesNBA apparently already has VR, but it is on the baseline behind the backboard so is pretty crappy according to the one person I know who has tried it.

I feel like the transition from SD to HD was quicker from a broadcast standpoint but maybe that's just me? Sports seems like they would be the first to start. I read the NFL's one attempt at it failed.
By DY_nasty Go To PostWWE is gonna have VR and HD before NBA doesWWE Network is actually 1080p as of late last year.
It's funny that between the NHL, NBA, and MLB, the NBA is far and away the worst. The most expensive, the app is buggy and crashes like hell on PS4 and Xbox, the streaming quality sucks, it buffers regularly enough to annoy you. It's such a bad product.
By Smokey Go To PostI think DirecTV does some games in 4k?
I googled this. They advertise the broadcasting of some events in 4K. There's a link to the schedule, but the page crashes and is doing some weird reloading shit for me.

It really is. MLB and NFL HD Broadcasts look soooooooooooo much better.
By Fenderputty Go To PostI feel like the transition from SD to HD was quicker from a broadcast standpoint but maybe that's just me? Sports seems like they would be the first to start. I read the NFL's one attempt at it failed.I think the toolchain for that was in place for decades before the mainstream had affordable access to HD TVs. That hasn't been true for 4k.
Also, a lot of cable companies are probably against it because it would require them to upgrade their infrastructure to make sure the signal doesn't die multiple times during a broadcast.
By Fenderputty Go To PostIt really is. MLB and NFL HD Broadcasts look soooooooooooo much better.MLB.tv is life. The quality is awesome, all the games are presented in 60 fps, you get a bunch of different broadcast options. When you're watching archives, you can jump to specific at bats. It's spectacular.
The NBA is light years behind.

Seems wild to me. I know HBO is trying to get it implemented. I imagine they're starting to feel heat because just about everything Netflix and Amazon put out is 4K. Disney + is all 4K and all Dolby Vision too.
NBA in 60FPS 4K with HDR would be so so so good too.
By Smokey Go To PostFender got dat OLED bug
I was actually going to make a "whoa 65" 4K porn" post in the random throughts thread.

Disney + is all 4K and all Dolby Vision too.The US had the HDTV standard in 1993. The UHDTV (4k) standard was approved in 2012. I guess you can use that to hazard a guess as to when 4k broadcasting may become standard.
