By s y Go To Post2 years later and Gokurakugai is getting serialized next month, nice.Well, the art is still incredible
99% of it was identical to the one shot but with design changes and honestly better characterization. Okay, so far so good.
Then in the last few pages, the biggest change from the one shot appears. In the one shot, the kid was hella strong and they were freelance problem solvers in a low fantasy crime-ridden red light district setting.
Now in the serialization, the kid has a fucking chainsaw man devil trigger and the two are actually demon hitmen. Rolled my eyes so hard smh.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostStop whatever you are doing and go watch Samurai ChamplooWatched 5 episodes
Cool art style, music, transitions, and surprisingly funny
But I was kinda hoping the plot would be more interesting.
I think in general I'm into more dark stuff like berserk, death note or monster.
But I'll continue with samurai champloo, it's fun, like cowboy bebop.
Maki, the GOAT, is back? Let's goooo
JJK feels like it's setting up for something extremely fucked up to happen. I dunno. After this chapter, I'm starting to get the feeling that these folks aren't gonna be enough to stop Kenjaku's plans, and damn sure aren't enough to stop a mostly full / full powered Sukuna.

By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostMaki, the GOAT, is back? Let's goooolow key feels like Gege is buying time to set up the next major plot point with all these back to back fights. Yuji hasn't been seen in months, Angel is hovering over Megumi's body, where the fuck is Megumi's sister/aka the main reason they entered, good guys keep winning and forming alliances and there is a major lack of antagonists.

I've enjoyed the fights themselves(except for the back half of Hakari Ex Machina) but whatever bomb that Reggie speculated that Kenjaku is waiting to drop, hopefully drops soon. Why the fuck is he in China?
Just finished JJK season 1 I guess?
Liked it well enough, art is fantastic.
That academy is a bit light though, they seem super disorganised and understaffed.

By DY_nasty Go To PostJjk is bad right now I'm tired of pretending its not
im just waiting for the update that my boy is out of the box before i start back reading this weekly
I wouldn't say it's bad at all. Just in a holding position. The entire purpose of the Culling Games/Merging with Tengen/Etc is just vague and not at the forefront of the story. Started off well enough with Yuji and Higuruma, but every fight since then has slowed the plot down. The breaks don't help.

feels like a filler arc
The Maki arc is the worst of the entire series and the Yuji/Higuruma fight has been the peak for me so I can't relate.
u buggin*shrug* Naoya got a volume cover over her. #notmybestgirl. But that entire mini arc was so rushed and thoughtless, eh. Maybe if Gege was in better health during that time I'd like it better.
By Laboured Go To PostI started Monster last night but idk 5 eps in and it's basic and slow right now. Thoughts? It is fairly slow, the middle section is slower, but I still like it a lot.
Nana remains the only anime I had to stop watching because it got too dark/depressing for me. Dropped it somewhere around episode 33 or 34, I think.
Anyway, I think Horse would enjoy Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. It is also pretty dark, but has some redeeming messages and is also only 12 episodes. One of my favorites, tbh.

Didn't know it was dropping today.
War Devil is...she gotta have infinite confidence in her abilities. LOL

The anime's cool at capturing the art style but I feel like I should just switch to reading the manga because I love this dudes style.
It certainly wasn't the beginning
I just got to Little Garden in the anime. Bright spots here and there (Zoro's backstory, Arlong arc minus the two idiot bounty hunter characters) but what a slooooog sometimes
