By jjasper Go To Postgonna do it. probably gonna play it, destiny, and monster hunter for the rest of the yearis this a cry for help lol
I am aware I have a problem but for some reason i am in the mood for mindlessly doing nothing of importance for hours. also highly possible i get burned out and do ffxii (or xenoblade) end game nonsense instead.
I blame this all on trying persona 5 again

The avengers roster is just underwhelming to play as. That's my main issue
I'd much rather have an X-Men game like that with cyclops , wolverine , storm, Colossus,, nightcrawler etc

By inky Go To PostI know that feel. FM and Path of Exile are my those kinds of games. It really helps clear the mind.I just bought some sprue nippers and a Gunpla model to clear my mind. Cleaning the parts (sanding down the sprue nubs, basically) and panel lining them really destresses me. Having something I can point at later and going "I made that" also helps.
Had to buy new nippers and sandpaper and detailing pens because I haven't been back to my hometown to pick them up because Covid.
man they really shouldve released the tony hawk game in like june, the perfect kind of game for this era

I could never get the paint right, but man, those things were beautiful. Until I left one of them out to dry and my dog ate it :(

I dont know how some of you want to go on TLOU2 again. That shit's so intense that I'm good with leaving a 2nd playthrough on the backburner for... 2 years, or never.

However, he bought me a Tamiya Super Hornet R/C car when I was pretty young and had me build it.
The build and actually driving it were both incredibly fun. R/C vehicles in general rule. I'm kinda sad that almost all of them come ready-to-run (RTR) so you don't get to build them from the kit. :(
Putting in a brushless motor with some LiPo batteries, though? Holy shit, all of these things move super fast.

By jjasper Go To PostI dont see how they could do permadeath without changing some of the clicker placementsWhich ones? Perma Death and grounded shouldn't be a big deal on NG+

Buying weights, putting little wheels on the side so it makes turns quicker on the tracks...

By sy Go To PostWhich ones? Perma Death and grounded shouldn't be a big deal on NG+from what i remember there are sections where you are grabbed by them from a cutscene or shimmying through a tight space. would probably need to drop those.
also that rat king fight where you cant see shit no thanks
It's just a QTE, those are the easy ones. Clickers are not an issue unless you get seen by something else.
By Daz Go To Postperma death for a 30 hour+ game?yeah that's different
wut?

ratking is a non issue.
By Daz Go To Postperma death for a 30 hour+ game?Average playtime is 23 hours and ay subsequent playthrough is going to be even faster even on a high difficulty.

there are people who can get through from software games without dying once.
tlou2 should be easy. for them.

By Flutter Go To PostThere are people playing Diablo 3 with perma-death. It's a thing innit.Hardcore modes in ARPGs are easy, because you can outgear any content. You usually die to lag spikes or boss one-shot mechanics.

I usually play hardcore so that it forces me to change up my gear and/or skill loadout to something new. It also adds a little tension to a genre that doesn't really have any.

I had several HC characterS, but the builds tended to be more boring. Your heart races even in the slightest danger, so you gear and build your character to avoid that at all times lol
That’s why WD was so common.

Because if you focus much more on defense, you aren't killing things quick enough to be worth it.

This just comes from my own experience with lvl 50+ Greater Rifts and those of others who did even higher.
I get anxiety when my level 3 sentry that I spent 3 minutes building goes down and you guys are putting all your progress on the line

Admittedly I didn’t rift with my HC build and I do remember those passive abilities. I also remember everyone having a WD cause damage was high but the class can pull agro with their summons. It was definitely my class for solo HC.
I tired playing again with the Necro, but didn’t get far. Was necro a common HC character?
I played too much at launch to make it much past season three or four

And pet builds for WD have sadly stunk for high difficulty HC farming. They kill far too slow. And the greater rifts have a timer on them. So they weren't as viable.
Monks were the most in-demand for groups that were farming high level GRs. Needed one monk per party for the move that puts a mark on an enemy so that when that enemy dies, colossal damage is dealt in an area around it.

Exploding palm.
Can you tell monk was my class of choice. Placing a couple palms and then cycloning all the enemies in for a BOOM! (I wish they did greater rifting sooner. It was a lot of fun)
EP > Cyclone is Risky for HC though
Yeah, that monk build was the only one that went nearly full tank in HC, iirc. The whole purpose of it was to gather enemies, put EP on them, and move on to gather the next pack as the rest of the group did the actual killing.
E: better offensive gear for that build didn't actually increase dps much so people went full defensive with it. I think it got phased out by more offensive builds later on and isn't used much today

Curious if this was due to seasonal tweeks and balances or difference between SC and HC. Cause I never spec’ed my monk for tank lol.
