By bud Go To Postthanks for ruining my memory, but that’s pretty funny either way.you beautiful man
will give that game a shot after sekiro.
don't give up on it, play by its rules and google how the combat works and what abilities to buy immediately, it's a bit rock paper scissors, except you need to buy the scissors.
it's a dance, bud, so dance.
Thanks for the Switch recommendations. Going to finish Link's Awakening before making any purchases.
By Kawhic Go To Posti was going to make a truck sim joke but it really do be an allegory for depression

Checkmate, motherfucker.
By Xpike Go To Postthat isnt a metaphor for depression?Paying to be an imitation indie game designer might be the literal definition of depression.
By HonestVapes Go To PostFinished Ape Out, definitely something I recommend trying out. It's short as fuck and a quick download. Worth it for the soundtrack.Yeah, it's nice to find games that you can actually say "I finished this and enjoyed the entire game."
Also kind of funny how the other week I couldn't get into playing anything and now over the last week I've ran through Frostpunk, Pedro and Ape Out one after the other. All short games like, but feels good to just sit and enjoy some good games again.
I only played 5 min of the Ape Out demo and was already bored by the end of it. Might give it another shot sometimes.
By Laboured Go To PostThose visuals are very basic, and that's before we get into how lifeless the animation looks.so....better than pokemon?
By /sy Go To Postpokemon looks like shit.
We ain't disagreeing pal.
shows how effective pokemon's animations are. temtem's monster designs aren't any worse than pokemon's, but they still lack any charm or personality because of the poor animation.
By DY_nasty Go To PostI hope temtem does enough to make Pokemon try againlol no.
By Kawhic Go To Postlol no.hope is never wrong, friend

Basically.
Eevee in a camp expresses more than anything I see in that video.
By Kawhic Go To Postthe temtems are also ugly af. i could never pay the game with such ugly monsters.
You’re a Nintendo fan and care about ugly graphics?
Worst part about Temtem is the art design. For some reason the color pallette is incredibly limited. You repeatedly get monsters that have the same colors and textures as the environments. They don't even have a black outline so everything just looks muddy and blends into the background. Next is the music. It's kinda awful. Finally the names are terrible, not a single memorable one. I understand why it is so derivative, basically giving people the same experience while addressing some of the most basic concerns, but it's way off pokemon.
Sword & Shield nailed the UI I think. I'll give it that.

SF6?
god let's hope not.
Must be nostalgia because i'm not seeing anything about Tem Tem that looks worse than the garbage ps1 looking 3d pokemon games.

Vulkan api coming to Siege. Maybe the game will finally stop crashing on me randomly and repeatedly.
Good choice to switch back from always online F2P crap somewhere to offline single purchase on Steam.
By inky Go To PostIt's weird how much I played Torchlight 1 and played like... an hour of Torchlight 2.

By data Go To PostIt's weird how much I played Torchlight 1 and played like… an hour of Torchlight 2.This is me. I think it's because I felt like 2 wasn't enough of a refinement over 1. I had already played so much Torchlight that just doing that again, but now there's co-op (that I'll never use), didn't do anything for me.
Maybe it's been enough time that I'm ready for a Torchlight 3.
By data Go To PostIt's weird how much I played Torchlight 1 and played like… an hour of Torchlight 2.same but replace Torchlight with Borderlands 2 and 3
Torchlight 2 had a good modding community. I think you had to take advantage of that to get engaged. It's true that the vanilla version didn't do much new otherwise.
By Auto Simeone Go To Postpeople out here playing games in 20 fps 720p and worrying about animations lmao

I was speaking broadly. Most everything on a Nintendo looks pretty meh, including the well designed characters.

Decided to give RDR2 another go and spent pretty much the entire weekend playing it. Not sure why it just now clicked for me, but I haven’t been able to put it down.
