By Yurt Kojima Go To PostI don't blame you. I almost got banned from GAF for saying it was genuinely shit after finishing it
DS2 or BB?
I liked the gameplay of BB, it was just the mood and little bits of backstory that were a bit too fucked up for me at the time I played it.
On the flip side, I think part of why I enjoyed Disco Elysium as much as I did was because of, or maybe in spite of the experience I had with an alcoholic family member.
@DY
a HUGE part obviously, but for me? I like the exploration/level design quite a bit too. Dreading that second corner and unlocking shortcuts back to a safe bonfire never gets old, it's one of the hallmarks of Souls-like games now. Surge got the exploration right but they neglected the most important part of it all....the art direction. Like make exploring your world actually interesting pls
I'm big on their take on PVP too but aside from OddMorsel I don't know anyone else who bothers ;_;

By DY_nasty Go To Postman im really not feeling valorant lolIt's the weapon skins. Defaults look shit but that's Standard Riot mo to get you to buy them.
CSGO = European football
Valorant = MLS
The amount of washed up CSGO pros who haven't been relevant since like 2016 playing this because Riot is dumb enough to sign them to play in their league is amazing. I do feel bad for brax though, fuck Valve for lifetime banning him over a stupid online match.

i'm kinda digging Valorant.
yes it looks horrible but it's like CSGO without having to compete against people who played this for 30 million hours and less serious.

By Slavic Go To Posti'm kinda digging Valorant.its not about how the game looks really. mechanically im just kinda....

this is going to be magnitudes worse than what people hated about csgo lol
gameplay looks fine to me, the art isn't offensive and suits competitive, but it'll probably be the maps that end up lacking for me. cs has the best maps in fps because they've been refined over a long ass time.
It looks like it wants to be CS too much but that it also wants to be Overwatch too much.
It's too goofy looking for CS but its too visually boring looking to be Overwatch

Riot diehards looooooove LoL's awful aesthetics, so you won't see much complaining about this game either
I mean
does it really look worse than Overwatch
they couldn't go for realism with silly powers and I don't think going for a Team Fortress look fits well with CS mechanics.

I think it looks less cohesive, and Blizzard's designs have a bit more personality, but that also falls into the personal preference realm at some point. I've never loved Blizzard's "tone" either, WoW's goofiness and big shoulderpads were never my cup of tea, but comparatively, LoL is a particular kind of pastiche that really doesn't appeal to me.
apart from characters the design is waaaay stronger than overwatch, that game was unbelievably messy. the simplified aesthetic is important for competitive fps. animations need work though

it's making the ps4 is show its limitations: blurry textures all over the place taking a while to load in.
this thing could really use an ultra-fast ssd that's faster than anything on the market right now.
it truly screams "5.5 gb/s ssd needed."

After thoughtful consideration, we decided to keep much of what gamers love about DualShock 4 intact, while also adding new functionality and refining the design. Based on our discussions with developers, we concluded that the sense of touch within gameplay, much like audio, hasn’t been a big focus for many games. We had a great opportunity with PS5 to innovate by offering game creators the ability to explore how they can heighten that feeling of immersion through our new controller. This is why we adopted haptic feedback, which adds a variety of powerful sensations you’ll feel when you play, such as the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud. We also incorporated adaptive triggers into the L2 and R2 buttons of DualSense so you can truly feel the tension of your actions, like when drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.

i guess it's because i'm so used to the ds lay-out, but whenever i tried out the xbox controller, the stick placement just felt off.
By Laboured Go To PostSeems like it'll be a decent controller but I don't like the aesthetics.
it looks much better once you see the d-pad and buttons from the side. they look very nice. gives it more texture because i suppose it looks a bit flat from the front.
this controller is aesthetically sound.
trust me, i know aesthetics.
The microphone built into the controller is nice. And yay for a second console manufacturer to include haptic feedback in their controllers.
The only offensive thing about it is the colour scheme - if it launches white, it will be beige in three months like my OG PSP.
