Doesn't know what to say about a Suns team in the top 8. Check back in January.
1. Stop showing shit games on TV. Why doesn't the NBA have flexible scheduling instead of being locked into a bunch of trash Warriors and Pelicans games?
2. No one under 35 wants to watch basketball on cable/TV these days.

National TV games are terrible because the coverage trains people care about everything but the game

If someone had to rank the NBA seasons, it would probably be: 1) postseason; 2) offseason; and 3) regular season, with 1 and 2 swapping positions based on the insanity, volume of player movement or fame of the players on the move. The regular season has been diminished, in part, because the NBA β and the media apparatuses that cover the league β has also spent so much time convincing its fans that everything else is better than the game.
no lies
in the era of super teams and load management, the regular season is basically meaningless, especially because 16 teams make the playoffs out of 30.

warrios thought they won the struggle bowl but the knicks weren't having it.
There's really not any reason for the NBA season to be longer than 58 games. Play every team twice, best 16 teams in the playoffs.
But they'll never fix it because gotta have that money.

i would love it if they shorten it to 58.
post all-star break is just meaningless drag.

But the NBA's streaming is some ancient nonsense. And they need to get over these late games too.
I knew Reddish was doing bad but i looked at his numbers for the first time. Yiiikes.

The NBA has had so many issues and it has no idea how to fix it. \This new in season tournament is a terrible idea.
By Kawhic Go To PostWithout any evidence i say the nba would get 300% more viewers if they actually started on time.Is that an actual problem for viewers?
By DY_nasty Go To PostIf the MLB is good, the NBA should be too.Baseball players are just standing around for 95% of the game... unless you're a pitcher, in which case you only play the equivalent of 30 games at most.

Can someone end the Knicks forever? They are hitting all time lows with every passing season. Might go into full blackout mode again like I did in the mid 2000s.

having jvg and barkley whine every week about how much they hate the modern game certainly doesn't help
no other major sport has the degree of 'today's players are soft' that the nba receives from a large part of its commentariat.

Probably true from a commentator standpoint. The NFL is getting blasted for how soft the game has become though, the fans know. Baseball never changes lol. Nothing to complain about.
I dont see any of these happening but jesus it would improve so much:
- actual streaming service that doesn't come with blackouts nor is bullshit expensive, the primary age group that should be watching NBA stuff is cutting cords, so you either get your shit together and provide a decent app/sub or watch as they just keep up with pirated streams
- dump all the commentators on games except Doris, can't stand their brand of discussing shit other than the game and general lame ass egos
- let defenders play defense again
- a bunch of teams are legit held back by the worst ownership and management, how much talent they accrue won't matter, their owners need to be dropped like a sack of potatoes <- Obviously this one is pretty radical since owners can't just be pushed out without something more like Sterling but jesus, I'm serious, ownership in the NBA is balls

Rockets general manager Daryl Morey sees some hypocrisy there.
"Nobody was mad when Kareem was getting it dozens of times per game," Morey told ESPN.
He also believes that some critics are tougher on Harden because he's doing this as a guard and not as a big.
"There's a long-held basketball perception that the guy who holds the ball initially shouldn't shoot," he said. "Even when you play pickup, there's a rule that the guy who checks it in can't shoot."

Trivia time: Who was the most recent NBA player to score over 12 PPG at the free throw line? Nobody, folks. No player in NBA history has ever averaged more than 10.6 made free throws per game. Harden is currently scoring more points at the line than teammates Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker are earning overall. Think about it this way: It's feasible for Harden to break Curry's 3-point shooting record and Jerry West's free throw record in the same season. That's astounding.
When you ask Morey why he thinks Harden is the greatest scorer of this era, his answer -- just like the Rockets' offense -- is simple: "James is generating more points per possession than pretty much anyone in history."
The numbers back up the bold claim. Harden's 48.2 points per 100 possessions last season was more than any player has logged dating back to 1973-74. And this season he's doing it ... again. There's no question that post-Jordan scorers such as Durant, Curry, James and Kobe Bryant are phenomenal. Each has changed the game in his own way. However, none of them combined volume and efficiency as well as Harden has over this sustained run of excellence.
But P A C 12
If you're not impressed, I don't know what to tell you, except that James Harden is a harbinger of what's next. Just watch this season's breakout sensation, Luka Doncic, and you'll see that the future of the league is bending toward Hardenism.

No one cares for his shit or they're frankly disgusted by how much foul baiting he's done over his career. Technically correct doesn't mean people will ever respect him or his style of play.
Harden is efficient as fuck and scores a lot.
He also does it in the most boring way possible and flops all game long.
Both things can be true.
