By diehard Go To PostSo close to ordering the LG 34GK950F but i think i need to hold out, i need another 5 year monitor. I fear that the one i want will come out at $2999 and i will regret not just buying the LG now though..LG 38GL950G? I reckon it'll be anywhere between 1700-1999$ at launch.
LG 34GK950F has 144hz and full g-sync compatibility going for itself. Wouldn't be a bad buy at all, but I know what you mean.
yeah the 38GL950G , it will just be lame if it isn't even out before Christmas and comes in at some ridiculous price.

Wtf 8700k?

By Laboured Go To PostMetro games have always been bleeding edge tbf.I guarantee if you can hit 60FPS with a 4770K at high settings then you won’t need a 9900K to hit 60FPS at “GAMER” high settings.
ASUS monitor with a TN display with 1 ms response time VS LG monitor with an IPS display, FreeSync with a 5 ms response time
which do I get?

Getting 70-75fps at 4k in RE2, with everything maxed. Even have resolution slider upped by a small amount, 100% -> 110%. What a card this XC 2080Ti is, and it's not even the best overclocker of the available 2080Tis. The auto OC feature settled in at about 1830mhz for me on the core. Pretty much everything is at 60fps+
Really wish there was ray tracing enabled at launch for RE2 though. Game would've been perfect for it. Can't wait to see what Metro does with it.

By Laboured Go To PostNvidia taking a shellacking.from what?
been saying that these cards have been surpassing what the devs can put out, and people are upgrading less as a result
like it straight up takes some of the dumbest post processing effects ever to slow cards down even at 4k these days
when you turn off the trash settings, and if optimization is on point--its all good
nvidia needs to seek additional revenue streams

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postbeen saying that these cards have been surpassing what the devs can put out, and people are upgrading less as a resultThey did with the move into machine learning and other, similar stuff with corporations. It's part of what boosted their value so much before the crypto boom. However, it looks like even that is starting to fall short of expectations now.

By Kibner Go To Postfrom what?Turing sales suck, their forecasts were lowered by a lot and their stock is down nearly 14% in a day.
This dude is absurd. Mounted a Noctua C14S to his 2080Ti.

Here are my temps after 30 mins of OverWatch:
Fan Speed: 30% Max on both CPU & GPU (~400 RPM)
GPU (Gigabyte RTX 2080 Ti OC) - Stock settings (~1.06v) - 63C full load.
- Under-volt (~.875v @ ~1905Mhz) - 52C full load.

Nvidia also admitted that its data-center business, which sells graphics chips for servers that perform high-performance machine learning and artificial intelligence, came up short of its expectations. This is the business that sparked the huge gains in Nvidia’s stock in 2016 and 2017, as the company demonstrated that its focus on AI had a legitimate business case that resulted in a huge revenue spike.
By DominicanPower Go To PostWhy is the G Pro Wireless so goddamn expensive?Lot’s of prosperity tech in it and custom parts compared to their other mice IIRC. Just try a G305 with a lithium battery. Good shape, same sensor and not far off the same weight.

The inevitable IPC gains are also on the cards. AMD’s 12-Core CPU scores 130 in single-core floating point performance, some 13% higher than a Ryzen 7 2700X. Combine this with less conservative final boost clock speeds and Zen 2 could deliver some formidable improvements. In terms of the multi-core benchmark results, this chip is beating Intel's Core i9-9900K.

I'm terrible at describing stuff but any time I launch a game from Steam, my audio ends up being all distorted on music/videos. It doesn't seem to happen under any other circumstances, any ideas on how to fix this?
