very possible m5
By Smokey Go To Postvery possible m5It might be physically too small for your hand, in which case by all means get the regular Model D. As for weight tho? Nah, lighter always feels better. The glide doesn’t lie.
I think you’re likely so used to the heavy weight G502 that switching to a mouse that’s pretty much half the weight is fucking with you. You will adjust to it and be grateful you made the switch in time.

Actually been maining the G703 for a while. You’re probably right tho. This is the first lightweight mouse I’ve used.
I use 1200.
Used to be 800 but that was when I was on 1080p. I remember on the Csgo subreddit there was some conversion dpi thread so it said if you played on 1440p you should play at 1200dpi to have the same feel
It felt the same so I just stuck with it. Idk if the math behind the thread was accurate but it works for me

By Smokey Go To PostWhat dpi to yall use? mainly shooters
Depends on the game and how fucked the in game sensitivity scale is. I generally use 800-1200, but I’ll use whatever DPI allows me to reach a 45cm/360 on my mousepad from one game to the next.
Yeah, I think mine is set to 800. Really, I just have it set to whatever feels good in Windows and doesn't introduce jitter from my hand holding the mouse and then adjust my sensitivity using in-game options like Vapes.
my dpi is 1850

By HonestVapes Go To PostWe would never purposefully ignore you m8. We love you, m8.thank you for the appreciation and response, it does still happen with alternative output. I've even tried completely different speakers, different ports, etc.
Funnily enough I’ve had a kinda similar issue playing MGSV on PC. Sometimes I start the game up and there’s no sound, but most of the time it works correctly. I have zero clue as to why it does this, but I have to close the game and toggle between two audio outputs before booting the game up again to get the sound working.
It only effects that single game and nothing else though.
My only suggestion would be to troubleshoot the issue, try using a cheap DAC to see if it still happens with an alternative audio output.

By FootbalIFan Go To Postmy dpi is 1850Have you tried a different audio device? Like, not speaker, but different DAC. I mentioned before that you could plug your headphones or speakers into a console controller and hook the controller up to your computer. Set Windows to use the controller as the audio device. See if you are still getting the same problem.

You can also get the Apple Audio Adapter for under 10 USD and see if you have a problem using that if you don't have a console controller handy. https://www.amazon.com/Apple-USB-C-Headphone-Jack-Adapter/dp/B07K25P3N1/
By FootbalIFan Go To Postmy dpi is 1850That's very strange indeed, external USB audio devices should work, if it were an onboard audio issue. Might be some weird driver fuckery, you should definitely try formatting & reinstalling Windows before purchasing a new PC.

If you do end up getting a new PC however, be sure to wait for Zen 4 3D and B650 motherboards in Q1 2023, so we can both point a finger and laugh at Smokey's 13900k.
Took measurements of my case last night to see if a 280mm will definitely fit. The rad I’m looking at is another Corsair XR5, measuring 312x140x30.
My case clearance is 320x145x80.
Shit’s gonna be tight.

Cable drag chains, what an invention.
Getting them to not sag when mounted in this unnatural orientation was a bit of a pain in the ass, but it worked out quite nicely in the end. A couple of well placed supports and an over-engineered mounting bracket did the trick. Hopefully the plastic the chains are made of won't tire over time.
Wish the throttle pedals I want were in stock so I could tidy up everything and be done with it. It's been fun, but I just wanna play.

How long do you guys keep the boxes for your parts? I tend to go a year on most electronics, but my storage cupboard is cluttered with PC part boxes atm
A month or so, in case I have an immediate failure. Except my motherboard box, which I keep forever because it is a handy holder of various parts that I might need if I add new hardware to the mobo or need to look something up in the manual or need one of the other accessories for some reason.
I put every box inside the case's box - this time around it's actually just a regular big cardboard box, since mini itx - and store it in my parents' attic.
It's kind of become a ritual of sorts, plus it makes for a more attractive ad when selling old parts, if you include a picture of the original packaging.

Can I interest any of you lads in an Antec 900 Xtreme gaming case, the best and most popular Gaming PC tower case of the 2000s! Box included!
Yeah, I sometimes hang on to some boxes more than I need. I'm pretty sure I just take the SSD out of the machine and store it as is in it the case box when I build a new computer 😂 hey, it might have an 8800 gtx in it now that I think about it.
Well, once I gave my old PC to my brother to find out he never used it.

I keep my old boxes until I sell the part years later.
Also, these new AMD cpu's are looking very nice

By Smokey Go To PostPreordered the white 502 X Plus because I am a Logitech whoreNo shame in it. I don’t see a big enough difference to move to that from the current wireless G502, but I hope they bring the new changes and features to their other mice.
I think... not confirmed, I THINK I fixed my sound issue
Will confirm in coming days.
But I edited my windows so that when my pc starts it plays a tune like it used to in the older windows editions
and so far (8 attempts), whenever i start or restart my pc, it plays the song and the sound is working fine

new switches, older ones were pretty problematic
By Smokey Go To Postnew switches, older ones were pretty problematicSeemingly so but I’ve never had an issue with the switches on any Logitech mice. If/when I do, I’m busting the soldering iron out. Glad to see them fix it out of the box though for the non-tinkerers.
New Meshlicious looks great. Up to ATX motherboard support and still under 15l in volume. Dual radiator support with an ITX board too.

I love how there's always an annoying as fuck little niggle that goes with less-than-common USB devices. With both the Gladiators connected, my PC won't let the monitor(s) go into standby mode and there's apparently no easy workaround short of unplugging them every time.
Good thing I have a 10-port USB 3 hub on the way, so I'll be using my current powered hub as a dedicated hub for joysticks / pedals / whatever other sim peripherals, place it in a comfy position under the desk where I can easily reach the on/off button. Still annoying, but slightly less so.
The whole USB ecosystem under Windows is fucking terrible from a management standpoint.

Wow, Kinesis received as many orders for their 360 keyboard the other day as they normally receive in three months. Also, they assemble these contoured keyboards by hand, I assume because it is too expensive to setup extremely custom tooling for it. Also also, they only have 14 employees. XD

Dual sticks (+ pedals) is indeed god-tier for space sims. Incredible feeling and the skill ceiling is sky high.
By HonestVapes Go To PostThe hole in the rug really goes the room togetherfixed
I really should invest in a camera. This 5 years old 200€ phone's camera isn't cutting it.
Might swing by the photography thread one of these days.
Apologies for that one speaker cable in sight, the elastic band that's holding it to the speaker stand snapped. Can't do much about the cheapo USB foot switch wire, unless I make a hole in the carpet, which I yet might. It's getting replaced by proper rudder pedals soon anyway.
