By reilo Go To PostAre investigations the best way to get armor spheres? Are you doing the bounties?
By reilo Go To PostYea the ones where I need to hunt specific monsters.do all them... picking mushrooms or whatever
By blackace Go To Postdo all them… picking mushrooms or whateveryep.
Yeah, always have as many bounties as you can. No need to focus on accomplishing your bounties or going out of your way to do them. You will still get more armor spheres than you have money to spend on just by playing and hitting up gathering nodes as you hunt.
Got like 11 equipment loadouts now. Level 3 health booster charm helped a tonne with the tempered kirin
lol how are you having so much trouble, what weapon are you using? I'd suggest looking up a weopon guide on YT, if I didn't I wouldn't know half the longsword strats.
in the rotten vale, Radobaan was ezpz, very satisfying to kill though.

I'm using dual blades and those are only effectivr against his head. The thing just has so many disorientation moves and such that it just makes it impossible to cancel out attacks and get out of the way. I also think the default camera makes it difficult since it clips into the damn thing.
remember to use your environment(the ancient forest has a few of them, big thing in the air, pillars, webbed floor etc) and items like the scatter nuts and etc so you can down the monster and get off your hits.
anjanath is the first wall of the game for most. he's a wild boi
the thing with dual blades is that they're ALL about positioning. they're the best dps weapon in the game, but the cost of it is having to know damn near everything about what you're fighting. also, the number cause of death in this game is getting greedy - with dual blades you're pretty much asking for it until you get patient

Also, if anyone is wanting to try out different weapon archetypes in a real fight quickly, go to the Gathering Hub and talk to the Arena Lass on the left. There are different scenarios that you can do and there are a selection of five different weapons for you to use with each one. They come fully loaded with armor and relevant items, too.
And you get mats for unique armor sets that you can only get through the arena in addition to money.
e: just know that the monster health is set to multiplayer levels, even if you are solo (so 4x normal)

I haven't checked thw Gathering Hub yet. Trying out the Proto Axe and gonna give it Water Element since that's Anj's big weakness.
By reilo Go To PostI haven't checked thw Gathering Hub yet. Trying out the Proto Axe and gonna give it Water Element since that's Anj's big weakness.elemental damage don't mean shit if you just gettin rekt. its not a race to kill stuff (at least until you start seeing optionals/investigations with 15 minute time limits)
just tackle it slow. anja is the first enemy that really punishes you for playing too loose and enforces the real pace of the game for the most part. get damage where you can, use the environment, leave if you have to, EAT AT THE CANTEEN, and take advantage of stuff like flash pods, etc
I won't lie, Teostra's hunting horn has given me bad habits since I can't be stunned while using it. It certainly helps preventing stupid deaths from teammates, though.

you can honestly do plenty of damage just by going about business as usual. but who wants to throw 5 yard outs when you got the cannon arm? unleash the dragon
mynameisbyf is awesome. dude's transitioned from destiny into stellaris and now MH, and damn
hope he keeps branching out
And a video that actually explains what deviljho is. He is supposed to be in the first free DLC coming this spring and I can't wait:

any new player really
one of the best bang for the buck, all purpose charms in the game is the Blessing Charm. Its really easy to build and affordable and helps a huge deal as it allows you a lot more leeway against monsters as you're still getting used to things. The skill is called Divine Blessing - basically it rolls the dice on each hit you take. If you get lucky, the damage from that hit will be reduced 15/30/50% (applies to tick damage like poison and bleed as well). It procs pretty common - huge help to get the timings down in the first half of the game.

By Hitch Go To PostThat Majestic Horn drop rate 😒Isn't it guaranteed if you break both horns?
By DY_nasty Go To Posthow you doing on augmenting kibI mostly have it done on my main armor pieces (almost 500 defense) but only one hunting horn.
i've actually been doing okay on cash since i've subscribed to bandit mantle 24/7. elder dragon's drop lottery tickets. made like 600k+ these past two days

The only "reliable" way is to do tempered elder dragon investigations.
Not sure I have it in me to grind for augments, so I'm probably pretty much done with the game until the DLC

Finally built a Crit/affinity build for the dual blades. Took forever to get the Tenderizer decoration.
Tobi Dual blades - Got lucky and picked up 3 blade augments all within 5 quests today. Used all to boost affinity.
Eye patch headset (no idea what its called)
Dober Beta chest
Nerg alpha braces
Nerg beta coil
Death Stench heel Beta - may swap out for something with a stock crit skill.
Critical boost charm
Grinder, tenderizer and attack jewels for decorations.
Flash pods make the Elder Dragon fights so much easier and quicker to complete.
