By Kibner Go To PostSUVs just don't appeal to me, at all. It feels like a family or very tall person kind of vehicle.

By Adam Go To PostWelp, I'm a terrible photographer, but I don't think I've ever posted a picture of my car on here yet…
Wow that's nice. What kind of car is that? :p
That color is ace.
Took the SL out again this weekend and it made me realize.....how can someone use so much horse power on public road? specially now that manufacture are making 700hp cars.
Cars like the GT-R are dangerous cause I was sanitize of the speed it has. If I don't pay attention I can go over 90mph without even knowing it. Luckily the SL is much more viceral that you know you are going fast. But even then I can't push it much on public roads. I think the sweet spot is 350-400hp. The old NSX was below that and it felt really slow.
Anyways here's a pic my G old vs new

By reilo Go To PostThose little design tweaks do a lot and make it look awesome.
The way it drives is simmilar yet different.
The SL is the Type R version...feels more alive.
Much more fun than a GT-R which was more muted.

I do like myself gun metal. They didn't have it in midnight blue which is my default color of choice.
I could always wrap it I suppose...
Having so much fun in the GT3. We got the skittles together Saturday for a car show and drive. Gotta say, Porsche in wild colors get a lot of attention since most people spec white, black, or silver. Got spotted all over town, even hours after leaving the show.
For sure. I hate how on the production car the orange bar goes toward the grille and then just stops...IT STOPS! Why!?
In the concept it forms the air dam/intake and looks aggressive.

I ordered sound deadener today from Second Skin. I purchased the Luxury Liner Pro, which is a Mass Loaded Vinyl product. It'll be applied all around the rear of the car underneath the trunk's panels, as well as going into the wheel well liners. My goal is to eliminate road noise from the rear as much as possible. The tire roar is unfortunately quite an issue with Zs, and my goal has always been to make this the perfect sports car/quasi-GT hybrid. If the sound deadener is a success, then the power mods will begin.
I also fixed the window trim and moldings today using GTechniq C4, which is a permanent restoration. It's the only one on the market. All others are basically just variants of tire shine that you apply every 6 months. They mask the issue more than anything. The C4 penetrates into the rubberized plastic and re-infuses the coating permanently (or as long as you maintain the finish of the car).
The window trim looked even more gray and pale at one point, but I had done some work to it earlier on last week trying some stuff out.

Not really. Should be less than 25lbs total.
I would also like to clarify that one of my main goals with this car isn't raw power, performance, etc. It's basically to take the car and make it what Nissan should've made it from the factory. This is why I'm doing things like the sound deadening, because the car is so loud inside that you have to really speak up to have a conversation.
Thereafter, the trans fluid will be getting a nice changing too, from OEM Nissan to Motul which is supposed to improve shift feel and smoothness in the shifter. I think Z1 Intakes (which are a true CAI) in addition to resonated test pipes with an x-pipe will be about the extent of actual modifications for performance (plus the tune to make it all work). The factory exhaust should wake up once the extremely narrow y-pipe is dumped and it becomes a true dual system.
But I also have to be careful to pick the right parts and avoid drone and the like. I think the stock rear section with resonated test pipes (ART Pipes by Motordyne) should be the winning formula.

TGIF, indeed. It has been a monster week. We've had two days this week in which we did almost as much business as we were doing in a week's time in 2017. I'm in commercial flooring sales and when construction and renovation booms, so do we.
Anyway, I decided to do a trade evaluation on my MX-5 to see what the current value is and have already been contacted by multiple dealers, one of whom offered me $7k without even seeing it. Being almost summer it seems like it might be the right time to let it go even though my garage isnt finished yet.
I also got referred to a local Audi dealer salesperson by a member of the Audiworld forums who bought a TTRS a couple of weeks ago (Audi of South Atlanta is where he works) who is fairly new and is doing some great deals on Audi Sport products (including the TTRS!) and he is working me up some numbers on a Daytona Gray TTRS including my trade of the MX-5 as I type this. I am interested to see what he comes back with and if it is a good deal on the right car (and Daytona Gray is my favorite color for the TTRS) then something might be happening fairly soon.

do it!! YOLO...*dab*
By AlphaSnacks Go To PostI love it when we convince people to buy awesome new cars.Indeed! I just got the numbers and they look great. They are offering me (in addition to the $7k on the trade) nearly $5k off of sticker, which is killer. Could be happening.

Car is still about a week out but my name is on it when it arrives. I sort of want to pinch myself as I can't believe it is actually happening. It looks exactly this one here: http://myautoworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/DSC8460_tn.jpg Identical color combo, which is my ideal combo for this car. If I was going to order one, it would be exactly the same as the car coming in so that is another reason I jumped on it.
Awww snap!! Let me be the first one to welcome you to the Volkswagen family lol.
Congrats!!
Trade in value for your NC looks good too... I got about $6.5K on mine last year and it already had 100k miles.

Don't sweat it. I always dug the 300z and 350z more than the 370, but that's mostly down to the funky headlight shape. Great cars and a lot of fun. If I was going to buy a wrench sportscar and unmolested 300z would definitely be on the short list.
Thanks everyone. I got the confirmation that the car had been officially designated for me last night and they were working on shipping information. I should know more next week in terms of an exact ETA but, barring something unusual happening it should for sure be here well before the end of the month.
The only slight downside is that the car will likely be ready for me before my garage is completely finished but it shouldn't be too long that I have to park it outside and I will definitely be doing full ceramic coating at the least to protect the paint from the elements. I suppose I could leave it at the dealership for a couple of weeks but between me going out of town on vacation and getting the car detailed and paint protected I likely won't be using it much before July anyway.

To be fair, they don’t exactly appeal to me either but when you have a kid, lady and a bunch of stuff to haul in comfort they’re kinda necessary. Unless you can find a decent, non boring wagon which is still kinda good luck type of stuff.

Congrats on the new car, matman. Hope it brings you many years of enjoyment!
I spoke with my detailer and he's booked until July 17! Looks like I will be taking it *extremely* easy and no interstate travel until after it gets back from his shop. I don't do interstate travel much anyway and most of my road driving is rural, so I won't be too concerned about the paint initially. But I will want to take some road trips with it as soon as it's all protected and I am able to get some time off of work.
By NinjaFridge Go To PostSo Porsche have given the Model E a name, they're calling it the Taycan.Yeah, not sure how I feel about that. It's only 2 letters different from Macan and, at first glance, the word even looks similar. And since we know an electric Macan is in the works I wonder if that might lead to some product confusion down the road.
Yeah, I've popped in and lurked this past week for some E3 news...and it's basically the same shit as GAF with the same annoying replies, sheep mentality, pile ons, etc.
Not to mention their politics discussion in Off Topic is literally one word replies about Trump: "fuck trump", "orange etc etc", "(insert same reused insult here")
Like damn, I was on the hate Trump train and all...but contribute something worthwhile if you're going to discuss him. It's the definition of drive-by posting. Contributes nothing to discourse.

Yeah, ERA is pretty much still GAF in a different skin lol. Thankfully Discord exists and that's basically where I get my gaming news now.
Anyway, have y'all seen this? https://jalopnik.com/the-new-mazda-miata-will-have-181-hp-and-a-7-500-rpm-re-1826729721
