Ritas Lime-A-Rita: not a fan. Too thick.
Truly Hard Seltzer: not a fan. Not enough flavor to overpower the seltzer.
But... if you mix them together... it passes. Wouldn't buy either again, though.

Where's Shanks? I just drank a Westvleteren and SB12 at 15 degrees and it blew my mind. It might be my best one yet.
I always forget this thread exists, going to have a mouton 2000 for when my parents arrive, interested to know what something that old tastes like.
Naw. Maybe a few glasses on a Thursday. A looooooooot on a Friday (prolly with blow). And that's it.

Standard weekly city cycle lol. Spirits or pints?
Have your Friday afternoons turned into a sunday evening?
Lmao. Christ I couldn't go on that long. At my worst excess I'd be up till very early on Saturday and admit defeat and be up by Saturday afternoon. No idea how anyone could charge through Saturday (if that's what you mean). That's fucking more hardcore than I could ever commit to even in my younger days.

Only 5 or 6 in my life but it happens, the journey home is that of filth shame and disgust.

Drinking old stuff always depends on how it has been handled. Temperature and light changes can really fuck shit up. Make sure you are buying from a reputable establishment or restuarant. I usually like drinking Barolos because the longer they age the better.
I had a bottle of Dom P2 1998 two years ago and that was extraordinary.
If you really want to drink old shit then whisky is always the way to go. And the great thing is that you can compare stuff right next to each other. Gonna buy some samples of official Laphroaig 25(a couple different years), 27, and 28 when I am in London for chirstmas. Will also get an independent Laphroaig 20. Then I can finally have my dream dram, The Laphroaig 40.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostWhich one did you prefer?SB12 for sure, apparently a blue Chimay is also great at those temps (12-15) but they were all out last night.

Oh yeah for sure! I've had it for a few years as have a small holding in wine that I use for long term investments and all stored in bond and you pay for all that stuff to be sorted. But this had done very well ( bought 5 and half cases for like 24k in 2012 and sold 4 of them for 20k a case and exempt from CGT 😊) so decided to take the half case to drink as its xmas coming. Going to let it breathe a while as well before I take a sip.
My recent whisky intake since Xmas day.

Keto(ish) or no, I still seem to have that taste for Redd's Wicked Apple Ale... sometimes mixed with vodka.
Should be a crime for alcohol to taste this good. Damn shame it also packs a shit load of carbs.

Got a late birthday present from a friend, a Deanston Madeira cask 12y whiskey.
Probably going to have a taste of it tomorrow, anyone familiar?

all I have left right now is Patrón XO, which is not ideal to say the least.

Oops missed reviewing it but here goes :
The Deanston gives a strong full taste, a bit to much for my liking. So I deluded it a bit with 2 teaspoons of water, breaks it up a bit.
After that, went down smoother, brought out the fresh fruit taste a bit more.
Having one (or my third, who cares) with an ice cube each glass and it's way better that way, for me.

Came across an independent rum maker over twitter and while it's not exactly cheap (40 pounds including delivery) its honestly one of the nicest rums I've ever tasted. The spicing is so elite, a symphony of background notes that takes you on such an adventure with each sip. But its also not over powering ya know, if I could make a comparison the spicing would be like lisa Fincher doing backing vocals for the rolling stones or something.

I just had a Duchesse De Bourgogne and it might be the best Sour beer Ive ever had. Light fruity taste with a nice Sour base and a full aroma. It's to good., for real.
So I just found out about Sous vide booze infusion. Tonight I’m going experimenting with a rosemary lemon infused vodka. Tomorrow I want to do vanilla orange bourbon.
Sous vide basically cuts alcohol infusion down to hours from weeks
