By JesalR Go To PostAnother week, another bottle of Dalmore. Got given the 18, which is fantastic
If you can I would recommend trying the Cigar Malt and the King Alexander III.
Both are very nice drams. The Cigar Malt even better with a cigar.

Never been a fan of cigars, so hopefully it's good on its own

Wow, I came in here to say I had a bottle of three and a half buck chuck, 2 shots of fireball, a massive aperol spritz, and I'm currently smoking a bowl. You guys use the word dram and smoke cigars. I think theres a meme about this hahaha

Finally got my hands on this. Been selling out constantly. Luckily a few shops in my area have started to stock it.
With doubt the best canned beer I have ever drunk. As far as that it is the most like a draft beer. Just incredible.
This is a game changer for canned beer.

The Japanese big 4 of Asahi Kirin Sapporo and Suntory are legit great macro beers. Asahi is probably the best but Sapporo is a close 2nd

Bought a couple of bottles of Don Michael Black Whisky, an Andean purple corn based whisky in Lima after having a couple glasses there. All of the locals recommended it and apparently it won some awards or something.

I'm not a whisky guy at all (barely drink anything), but it was nice and tasty. Definitely different from other whisky I've tried. I'm sure the cold autumn night in an open bar near the sea helped enhance the flavor.
Now it's made me curious of more corn based whisky. I know there's one made here in MX called Abasolo that I've never tried.

Just had a dram of 1984 Suntory Pure Malt Whisky.
AKA the first Yamazaki.
WHAT A DRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also had a tasting of Suntory Pure Malt Whisky 12(bottling between 86-88) AKA the first Yamazaki 12.
Nowhere near as good.
Had a dram of 1989 Lagavulin 16 White Horse before Diageo took over.
Not my type of Lag. Much less peat. Old heads love it, but I am all about peat.
Then had a tasting of Bowmore 30 year old Sea Dragon released in 2006 in the stunning black ceramic bottle. 60s and 70s Bowmore in it. What a fruit blast.
I felt sorry for it though because that first Yamazaki was just another level.

Bourbon are corn based mash. There could be some wheat or Rye in there. I"m a fan of Rye whiskey too. Good shit. I can't do peaty flavors so stay away from Scotch or Japanese Single Malts.
By blackace Go To PostI can do Gentleman's Jack but that's it
I love Bourbon, but yeah I do not like Tennessee Whiskey. Charred oak barrels are OK, but ya don't need to filters the product through more charcoal after!
By s y brev Go To PostSo u can just add rum to anything huh
You like mint? Try a Mohito. Even if you're not a huge fan, if you go light on the mint it's pretty tasty.
