Had the Laphroaig 28, Hakushu 12, and Linlithgow 30 recently.
The Laphroaig 28 was a perfect blend of fruitiness and peat.
The Hak 12 was a nice dram, but nowhere near the price it demands in the current Japanese whisky marketplace.
The Linlithgow 30 was bottled in 2004 with whisky from 1973. I think it just takes the honour of oldest whisky I have had. A sweet whisky.
Hopefully one day I can afford to drink an actual newly bottled whisky from the 70s, but 50 year old whiskys are usually in the 10-100k range.
You are not wrong.

I opened the front door and ventured forth, walked down the stairs from my third floor apartment. And behold, a parking lot appeared before me, and I walked into the parking lot and set my eyes upon my personal automobile, a modest Kia Niro (touring edition, maxed out,
(fast forwarding)
…and afterwards, I drove to the nearby Circle K, and went inside with the intention to find variants of Redd's Wicked ales, for I had enjoyed the Apple variety and was interested in others that I had seen online, and was disappointed by their absence. But, to my amazement, I spotted Four Loko, which had been highlighted in a recent video viewed on YouTube, and I was pleased.
And the Lord's people said "Amen."

Just opened a bottle of Bowmore 10 Duty Free Exclusive that I got in yesterday. Not a Bowmore fan, but was the only Islay they had that I had not tried available at duty free. Was also the cheapest bottle and one litre.
Tastes very harsh. Couldn't tell it was from sherry casks, unless they bleached the casks before use.
Nowhere near the levels of the Laphroaig 10, Ardbeg 10, and Lagavulin 10.
Now had the Bowmore 10, 12, 15, 18, and 25. Only enjoyed the 15 and 25.
Hopefully it will improve with some air.

By Cleff Go To PostBreaking out the Hendricks gin later.Ohh, which Tonic is your go to?
I just use Fever Tree's blue for when I make one but the local specialty store has like 100 tonics :/
By Lupercal Go To PostOhh, which Tonic is your go to?Fevertree Elderflower with a slice of cucumber. Can't go wrong with any of their tonics. Their cola is ace as well. Goes well with whiskey/rum etc.

About £20 these last couple weeks. Finish work on a Friday, get 8 or 12 cans of Stella in for the weekend.
I went up a level this weekend with two bottles of Buckfast. Scotland's drink of choice.
