By Lunatic Go To PostBruh no joke trades people make mad bank right out the door and you always need them. Honestly think I should switch professions. The unions in Canada have wages at 50+ an hour. Don't even want to talk about oil fields work as that shit is just upsetting.Oil is good money but it's boom or bust, at least here in America, and it's pretty exhaustive work.
By FootFungus Go To PostFinally got the final offer, I'll start on the 24th, just in time to collect some holiday pay.Congrats!
All this career talk makes me want to retire lol.

All this career talk makes me want to retire lol.
after spending my 20's mostly meandering and then having kids as both of us were finishing school... I'm eager to finally start on a career, so I don't plan on retiring anytime soon,😅.
I'm currently balancing out moving into my own place, monthly invisalign Bill's, and this car payment but I want to start looking into trades while I'm doing this. Need to make some real money
By FootFungus Go To PostThanks! Lol how long have you been at the grind?A tumultuous 10 years. Ready to go home and be a family man.

That's very good to hear. May she recover quickly and have her child bearing hips be stronger than ever. 😍

Thoughts and prayers Smokey. I'm usually balls deep into a cold and ear infection this time but this year my immune system has prevailed. Can I get a mashallah?

RIP before xmas ffs
it’s kind of funny that our 10 year HS reunion is on Monday and pretty much nobody is going to that even though tons of folks are in town. instead it just seems like everybody is running around town to smoke with each other.
being at home for Xmas isn’t so bad after all. Usually I gtfo of town.

He was going through it. Temp got up to 104. He threw up the night before and in the waiting room. He always gives us a heads up too. If hes in the bed he'll say "I gotta throw up" and spares the bed, couch etc, and goes right to the toilet. Much appreciated lol.
Hes got type B...the one you get from contact with someone else. We can trace it back to a family gathering last week, where somebody had the flu, but was walking around like everything was fine. Know who it was too smh
@Facism, what kind of ear infections do you get? I was getting them in the right ear like twice a year for about five years until I changed gp and he figured it was probably shampoo getting stuck behind the wax and settling against the drum, causing an erosion and perforation. Been using an ear plug whenever I wash my hair and haven't had an infection since.
I miss the time off work, but am happy to go without the hours long banging headache as the pressure built before the seeping started.

i never got any real details from the GP. My left ear canal would swell up and close, followed by the right ear soon after. No fluid or anything. Had to treat it with oral and antibiotics and a liquid antibiotic that i somehow had to get into my ear despite it being closed tighter than the daughter of a Saudi prince. Constant agony, can't hear shit except my tinnitus. So glad i swerved it this year.

Shits scary as fuck. They get hotter when they sleep too. Long nights. My daughter's only got this bad once and it was awful. Thankfully, for us, she had roseola which isn't contagious for adults.
I had bug last year, where I had a fever of 105... legit thought that was it... 3 weeks after that I was eating with my wife, mother-in-law and wife's aunt and they were clowning how men are too weak and how women would had just sucked up a 105 degree temperature. I replied with I'll remember that the next time you want me to open a jar

On that note, my ma was recently taken into the hospital for putting off going to the doctor over an infection. She had a temp of 114F when taken into the ambulance.
She's fine now btw.

She was delirious as fuck. Scared me tbh, it was like a flashback to how she was when she was heavily drinking.
Someone stole my 35mm camera my dad bought me like 10 years ago. I’ve been holding in how sad it makes me feel these last few weeks

I didn’t hear it first hand from the ambulance crew, but yeah that’s the temp I was told from my sister. Surprised she recovered so quickly after getting treatment honestly, spent a few days in the hospital and then was let out and back to being herself.

I hit 105 while suffering from heat exhaustion. After a dramatic 4 hours, I got back on my feet and tried to go back to work. The field nurse sat me down and explained how I was less than a degree away from permanently losing motor skills.
I was shook

I once had a fever of 104, in the middle of the night i went running around the outside of the house hallucinating that the sidewalk was trying to eat me.
